Hello everybody! My name is Chris Panda and I'm a french freelance illustrator and comic artist living in Köln, Germany. I've been working as Illustrator for the past 3 years and start now to try to make my way in the comic book world. (You can check out my work on my Instagram or my Tumblr). So I am here to present to you and tell you all about my new project: "Kicking Ass & Wearing Heels"
To understand what "Kicking Ass & Wearing Heels" is about, at first I have to say that I got a huge passion for Comics. Since my childhood where Linda Carter had portrayed Wonder Woman, I have an immeasurable love for all the gorgeous, strong and badass characters that the universe of comics has to offered for over 75 years.
So with all of that in mind I decided to mix my love for Comics and fashion to create "Kicking Ass & Wearing Heels". An artbook where all these amazing super woman finally puts their spandex, latex or exosuit costume in the closet and choose to wear more fashionable clothes to get out and finally being fully super without having to wear a costume.
The artbook will be printed in a A4 format (21x29,7cm or 8,27 x 11,69 inches) to appreciate all the details that I put on each illustration. The artbook will come with a jacket cover and a numbered and signed certificate. It will have 120 pages of high-quality colored. It will be available both in printed and in DIGITAL version. And the book will be available Worldwide
Now let’s take a sneak peek of what will be inside of the book with a sample of those fashion illustrations:
If this campaign hits a 6,000€ or more goal then I'll be providing the following as an additional reward for everyone who pledged at least the Classic Pack.
"I hope you will all enjoy that project and help me make my project and dream of mine come true."
Risks and challenges
The artwork for the artbook is already done at 80% and will be finished before the end of the campaign. Once the kickstarter is done and the campaign fund the book will be send to the printer and therefore, backers won't have to wait long to receive their physical art book in december. The only thing that will take a little more time are the commissions that I'll have to do after the conclusion of the campaign.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
