BIO-CRAFT Master Crafted Miniature Gaming Terrain (Canceled)
Biomechanical miniature gaming terrain designed to create strange other worldly tabletop dungeons, for any role playing game setting.
Bio-Craft Gaming Terrain started out with one simple desire for Jason Hite."I want to build highly detailed tabletop environments inspired by surreal art to play RPG games!" Like the Surreal Dice Tower, this is another project that combines Jason's love for both surreal art and gaming. With Bio-Craft, Jason created 20 different sculptures that when combined in sets, can create strange dark worlds to game in. Pieces will be made in a sturdy gray high impact plastic ready for you to prime and paint, or fully painted.
To see more of Jason's fine art assemblage and sculptural work, and to learn more about him, view his website here.
"I would like to thank the following people for their help and support on this long, strange journey. God, all the Surreal Dice Tower supporters, Erica Hite, George Longo & Peter Hamilton of Factor 31 for the stellar prints, Clint and Doreen Burgin, the insanely talented Farzad Varahramyan, my bro Jonathan Hite, Kevin Kennedy of Forge Prints, Kevin MacLeod for the awesome music and Mike Biasi, the best gaming/sculpting friend I ever had, I'll see you on the other side someday brother."
-Jason A. Hite
Below are the sets we are offering. All set images are prototype resin builds.
In addition to these sets, for backers, we will also be offering an add-on after the campaign ends to get each individual piece packaged in 4-piece sets.
Risks and challenges
This is our second Kickstarter. Our first campaign, The Surreal Dice Tower, was successfully funded last August, and our 400 plus backers have received their towers in February-March of this year. I believe most of our supporters were happy. At least no one has cussed me out. We were about a month late due to a hold up in customs but we learned a TON during the entire process. Bio-Craft is undoubtedly a much more ambitious project with lots of pieces and options. We have production already lined up so as soon as backing funds hit our accounts, we can start the manufacturing process. We still have a few kinks to work out on packaging but a plan is in place. I should also note that the terrain pieces may vary slightly from the molding process. All the images are prototype pieces, final product will be injection molded plastic. About 50% portion of the funds we are raising will be going toward all the metal molds for this process. Barring acts of GOD and/or alien invasions, I see this being a smooth process, better than the Surreal Dice Tower was because we know more now from that experience.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
