Welcome to Mis"Quoted"
The Next Generation of Card Game
Misquoted is a fun, mildly educational card game designed to be family-friendly that allows children and adults alike to have a laugh while learning about the people who have helped make the world what is is today. Misquoted takes some of the most important quotes from history and philosophy and gives you the chance to finish their famous quotes for them.
Misquoted is a fill-in-the-blank card game... but with a twist. To start, 3-5 answer cards (players' choice) are dealt to all players. One person is declared the "Judge" for the round. Use whatever means you like to determine the first Judge, i.e. age, one potato/ two potato, middle finger length, etc. The Judge turns a Quote card over and reads the quote. The players then choose an answer card from their hand they believe best fills in the quote. The Judge then decides on the winning card by whatever criteria they like, be it the funniest, the most profound, the most disturbing, etc. The player who played the chosen answer card then wins a point. However, here's where the twist comes in: the winning player can then earn an extra point by correctly completing the true quote and/or identifying who said it. If the player fails, then no extra point is awarded and the Judge can choose to cite the quote or just put the card back in the deck and let the internet be the teacher.
The game ends when the first player gets to 20 points.
For those that prefer their games to be a little more mature, each Misquoted First Edition Starter Deck includes 60 NSFW answer cards to bring history to a new level of twisted creativity. The NSFW cards are clearly marked with an "X" in each corner for easy removal when you decide the kids can come back into the room.
