About
I am determined to create a centre where people can meet and spend some quality time with one another and focus on who they are and what values they are willing to follow during their lives. I want to help them realise that one really needs to make efforts in order to get what they long for. Nowadays everything is about getting things quickly and comfortably. I do think that the most precious things in life are neither fast nor instant, they are free and in everyone's reach but that does not mean you do not have to commit and consciously work on it. Another typical idea of today's fast paced society is that if something does not work, you replace it and move on. On the contrary I believe that things can be worked on, a plush toy you love can be sewn, a fence mended, a relationship healed, but yes, it means work which is not always comfortable. You have to be attentive, you have to commit to learning, being aware that you will make mistakes, that this road is full of ups and downs but these efforts make the road yours. Remember the Little Prince? 'It's the time you spent on your rose that makes your rose so important.' (Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
There are no real communities nowadays, even families live far apart, lots of children never spend time with the elderly, so I am thinking about giving them the possibility to experience such a community, and have these different members of our society meet and spend some casual time together while, for example, baking a cake. Kids of different ages could make a fruit salad together and get an insight into the others' fears and joys because there are a lot of children living in broken families with no siblings. They can meet people with different backgrounds or who live with disabilities or are very successful or famous, just to experience that however much we differ from the outside we are all built from the same human material. We have dreams, we have emotional baggage from home and we have our own weaknesses and strengths but we all want to feel safe, appreciated, loved and we all want to share our lives with others.
Risks and challenges
My plan is to buy a property in Eger, which is a picturesque, medieval town in the northern part of Hungary. I want to open this centre there because it is where I feel home, and I am familiar with the institutions and the people I have to contact in order to apply for different permissions. This will take time and money and some of the processes might get even longer than expected because that's how the system in Hungary works.
This year I would like to buy the place and transform it into the house where all the activities planned can be performed ( a large and functional kitchen with all the accessories, a dining room for approx 20 people, a living room with lots of seating, the traditional oven and a Hungarian veranda) and I also want to prepare the garden for the coming spring. I am planning to have some cooking sessions with kids and friends, let's say trial runs, and together with them we will prepare most of your rewards. So, even creating the rewards will be a community event, from us to you.
I hope the construction will be complete this year, and the garden will be ready for the spring sowing.
The simplest rewards need more time because I can plant them during the autumn and early spring but they will only bloom later, that is next spring and summer, so you will have to be patient with your flowers but once they are there they will make the environment more beautiful for many years to come, thanks to our joint effort.
I am free to dedicate all my time to make this project come true. I have a lot of experience with finding the right people for the right jobs, I am effective and precise.I have an enthusiastic family and a circle of supportive friends to rely on.
We will keep you all well informed at all the stages of the project. This idea is blessed, so it will be as it should be, but whatever problems arise we will be right there to solve them. My creative thinking, open mind and welcoming attitude are meant to find solutions.
