This next update comes as we approach the tipping point to 39000. I can almost taste the finish line, and we are far to close to quit now. So to spur everyone on, here is the third faction vying for power in the galaxy of Conquest.
Descendents of the original galactic explorers, the Pathfinders have eschewed the planet dwelling of their fellow humans, instead maintaining a nomadic lifestyle. Travelling together in closely knit communities of ships, the Pathfinders wander from star to star seemingly searching for something that they won’t name to outsiders. Mysterious and mistrusted they’re nonetheless valued as traders, mercenaries and above all else, as shipbuilders. Even the finest ships in the Terra Universalis are hard pressed to compare to the vessels of the Pathfinders. Some would chalk this up to the simple superiority of Pathfinder shipmakers. Others though would claim that there’s something special about the ships themselves. That they’re not just vessels that take their occupants from point A to point B but rather possess their own sentience. Their own minds.
