Introducing Adagio Made - the First Edition
We want to invite you to be part of our journey to create luxurious knitted products right here in Australia.
Andrew and Nadine started Adagio Mills 3.5 years ago. We and our team currently make super soft knitting yarns from natural fibres. We are very proud of our team and grateful for everyone who has created with our yarns.

Everywhere we go we find people love what we do and our yarns but many would like to buy our knitting projects as finished garments rather than knit them themselves.
We have identified and tested a knitting machine that matches our yarns and are very excited that we could be one of the few mills that are able to process all the way from fibre through to finished garments in one place.

Our garments and accessories will be the epitome of luxury whilst also being sustainable, eco-friendly and completely natural. Welcome to Slow Fashion.
Being sustainable is a cornerstone in the way Adagio Mills operates with local fibre, employment and elegance in natural colours.

Why crowdfunding? You may have noticed, or even been involved in, the Kickstarter campaign that we ran in 2015. We were backed by 200 backers and were successfully funded. We have a lasting connection with our backers who have started the Adagio community. We love meeting our Kickstarter backers in person when we have been out promoting Adagio Mills and have loved to see what they made with their yarn rewards.
Become a backer and we will share with you the development of your garment from fleece through the whole process until it is ready to wear. From the start we will bring you closer to the farmers who grew the fleece then learn about how we make yarns. We will be developing a special blend of merino and alpaca fleece into a superior yarn to make your garment extra soft and cosy. You will receive exclusive insights on the development of this yarn and its processing through our mill. This will include videos and images of the processing of the yarn. The journey will then continue with the ups and down of installing and learning to operate our new knitting machine and knitting your rewards.
Be the very first to receive products made from our knitting machine, the "First Edition".

Information about the rewards for this project
We have developed our Kickstarter rewards on a hand operated knitting machine to ensure they are possible to be made on the knitting machine. The knitting machine that we will be purchasing will be automated and have many more features than our manual one!

Risks and challenges
We have developed a realistic timeline that allows for time for the machine to be manufactured and shipped to our location. We have allowed sufficient time to install, commission and learn how to use the machine. Delays may occur but we will communicate with our backers to keep you informed.
Andrew and Nadine Hulme are both engineers with over 10 years experience in delivering projects from concept to completion on time and within budget.
Adagio Mills successfully delivered its first Kickstarter campaign in 2015 on time and met our backers' expectations. We thank our backers for their support and belief in us! We hope you will join our ever growing Adagio Mills community!
