Meet Celadour, a three-piece alternative-folk band hailing from Providence, Rhode Island. Help the band spread their unique and captivating sound that comes from a mysterious world of its own but shows roots in rock, indie, folk, and Americana styles of music.
The three Celadour ladies are all visual artists (two sculptures and an illustrator) attending the Rhode Island School of Design. The band is in need of your financial help in order to release their first full-length album and embark on a month-long cross country tour that brings the ladies from New England to Colorado, Oregon, California and back again (with a myriad of stops along the way).
Celadour was formed when the three ladies found themselves living under one humble Providence roof. The band is: Erica Ehrenbard (Sculpture '12) on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, Melanie Steinway (Illustration, '12) on electric bass guitar, acoustic guitar, and vocals, and Louise Neal (Sculpture '13) on violin and vocals.
The band handles every aspect of, well, being in a band. Melanie designs and prints all the merchandise, which includes t-shirts, posters, woodblock prints, and stickers. Erica spends her free time in the Brown University recording studio recording, mixing and mastering Celadour's first full-length album. And Louise...well, she plays a killer violin and will knock anyone's socks off with one of her home-made pies.
The band needs your help to release their album and go on tour across the country. Melanie will also be making a video on the road about this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Every little bit counts :)
