Who are we?

We are Night Lights Theatre, committed to producing dynamic, innovative work. Our debut project is TAPE by Stephen Belber. It deals with the unresolved issues between three friends who have known each other since high school. On the day of the play, ten years later, they are forced to confront an event they thought was long buried. TAPE is explosive, funny, twisted and touching. It's a story that asks to be told, and we are here to tell it.

We are united by a deep passion for the creative process and a desire to give everything we have to our work. We are inspired by our trust in each other and the freedom that gives us as artists. We are driven to bring great stories to life, and we hope our audiences live through each moment as fully as we do.

TAPE runs April 10-14 at The Abingdon Theatre in Manhattan.

Where is the Money Going?

Your generosity will enable us to bring this play to life! Donations will pay for everything from the theatre rental to the programs we hand out opening night. Any profits we make in the end will go toward the development of our next exciting project!

Risks and challenges

Every play has its own set of obstacles, from creating an authentic set to building the tension at the play's climax. We love these challenges -- the joy we find in tackling them is why we want to make theatre. In that spirit, here is one of our favorite quotes:

"I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it."
~Pablo Picasso
