Discover spiritual truths from the smash Broadway hit, Hamilton, that will transform you life.
Hamilton - the hip-hop musical about a forgotten Founding Father - is the most compelling musical of our time. But if you watch it without understanding Alexander Hamilton's spirituality, you only get half the story. In God and Hamilton, I assert that Hamilton is a modern-day parable that will:
- Lead you into a deeper experience of God's grace
- Help you battle guilt and shame
- Challenge you to forgive
- Inspire your faith
- Engage you in the struggle for human equality
God and Hamilton weaves together insights from the musical itself, the lives of Alexander and Eliza Hamilton, and the story of Scripture into a tapestry that challenges people of faith to reexamine their lives.
I'll never forget the moment I walked out of the Richards Rogers theatre after seeing Hamilton on Broadway. Hamilton was the greatest musical I had ever seen. But even more than that, I knew that I had experienced something deeply spiritual that night.
I wrote this book to help others see and apply the spiritual themes found in this musical. I hope God and Hamilton helps readers see Hamilton as a story of grace, shame, despair, death, and redemption. And I hope to help people connect those themes to their lives, that it might transform the way they live today.
The process of launching a book into the world and spreading the word is time consuming and expensive. Although I did sign with a small publisher, there are still significant expenses to me as the author. I need your help and am looking for partners who want to help impact lives with this project. I am offering advance copies, as well as some exciting bonus material (including TICKETS TO HAMILTON!!!), for those who want to help me launch this book with the best possible chance of finding a readership and impacting lives. Specifically, money raised from this kickstarter will help with editing, design, website, and PR/Marketing costs.
