Creating Space is a CD and resource book including chords and charts for communities of faith to use in corporate worship. It also serves the purpose of private devotional material. It's a collection of songs that have been used in my worship leadership across denominational and generational lines that has resulted in deeper encounter with God and transformed lives and community. Rooted in scripture and the tradition of the Quaker faith community, these songs present accessible and pragmatic worship resources that affirm God is present and notoriously active in our midst. They are tools that call us to faithfulness, honesty, and trust. These are not songs primarily "about" God, but instead songs that encourage relationship with God and with one another. They are not simply songs about our own personal relationship, but the broader picture of the community and the world in relationship with God. These are resources designed to help us create space, physically, spiritually, and mentally, in our daily lives to pay attention to God.
The finished project will be a CD, also available electronically, and a resource book with lead sheets which will be available in both printed and electronic formats. Additionally, it's my goal to provide support to go with this specific project including worship consulting, videos on how to play these songs, and spiritual formation concerts.
What this project involves is the production and distribution of the music and the book. How you, and your money, can help is twofold. Creating the CD and book incurs costs in studio time, printing, artwork, and distribution. It also takes released time -- time set aside to create, which means saying no on my part to other income sources. The majority of the financial support for this project will go to the actual cost of duplicating and distributing physical CD's and books. The second, and in my mind more important piece of your contribution, is your backing of the idea, which gives me invaluable emotional support . The sense of call to this sort of project is clear in my life, but it helps more than I can say to know that there are others that this resonates with as well. Even if your financial support results in only a dollar or two, the vote of confidence that thoughtful, formative, corporate worship is important makes a huge difference. Additionally, your willingness to tell people you know about this project and getting them involved helps create critical support for me and for this important work we're doing.

Thanks so much for being willing to take the time to even consider supporting this work. I know there are lots of things that demand our attention and money, and I am truly appreciative that you've given this your attention.
