Heyyo Peeps!! We’re back at it again with another Kickstarter Update. This time we would like to talk about the Backer’s Alpha and our plans moving forward in terms of development of the game. So if you’re on the edge of your seat for more news, make sure to keep reading on.

Firstly, we would like to announce that we have rolled out the Final Patch for the Backers Alpha today (or yesterday if you’re in certain time zones). This patch contains UI changes and a few improvements to Magnus AI, so make sure to check them out when you’re firing up the game.

This may come as sad news to some but, we will be ending the Backers Alpha as of 9th March 2019. We would like to thank all of you for your support and for playing through the game that we have crafted for you. Your participation has not only helped us by digging up bugs and problems for us to iron out from the game, but has also lifted the spirits of the entire Magnus Games team, watching all of you having fun in the world that we have crafted.

Though the Backer’s Alpha is coming to an end, this doesn’t mean we’ll stop listening. If there is anything that you think we could improve upon in the game, please drop us some feedback/suggestion via our Forum, Steam, Reddit or Discord

Moving forward, We plan to take your suggestions and criticisms to the work table, and put all our effort on crafting a better land of Ethia. Notably, features like town size and optimization, Magnus AI and behaviour, and NPC relations and intractability are ripe on our minds. Our team is hard at work to get these features improved and ready for all of you to dive in and have fun when we release the game out there again.

As part of our Town Map changes preview, here we have the Cafeteria. Home to the Chef Twins, Shio and Mori, it’s where you will be able to buy foods for your journey and maybe even meet other Villagers taking their break.

A new visual for the Fish Pond, where you can keep and raise the fish that you have caught in the world. We plan to add new features to make your fishkeeping experience more convenient and fun. Also look forward to more fish related activities.

We will be introducing a new area called Hot Spring! We can’t go into too much detail of what this place does now, but I hope the image gets you excited to jump into its warm waters in the future. Some of you who are familiar with the genre might have already guessed the function of the place. ;)

A new and improved General Store location. You can now look at a more beautiful environment while trying to woo Emilia out for a date… I mean go to buy some supplies.

Let’s not forget your Farm, we made several changes to make sure that your gaming experience is not only more convenient, but also be as satisfying in terms of look and feel.

Apart from the Town, the team is also hard at work creating the next biome for all of you to jump into. Here we have several Magnus that you will be able to meet and tame in our next area, the Forest Biome. Venturing under the thick canopy of the Forest, what sort of creatures will you be able to meet? Well, see for yourself.

Aren’t they all so cute? Which one did you like the best? Let us know in the comments below. We hope that you are all excited to tame these Magnus when you get your hands on the game after it releases in the future.

Speaking of releases, we would suggest that you look out for the next few monthly updates coming your way.. We will also be returning to our regular monthly update schedule for the time being, bringing you the latest news of our progress and development shenanigans.

Well, that’s all we have for you for now! We can’t thank you enough for all your support and your participation in the Backer’s Alpha. All the valuable feedback has made us realize the flaws of the game and we will do our best to address all of them in the future. We hope that you are as excited as we are for the months to come as we continue to move the game towards a better direction. Be sure to check back again for our next update somewhere at the end of March! See you soon! <3

I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to play, whenever that may be. However, I haven't seen keys revoked as a way to stop an alpha before. Now I'm just curious as to if they do a normal alpha, beta, etc... Will they reinstate existing keys or send out new ones.

Is there going to be another Beta before the full game release?

Yep, pretty much what Purrmaid said. Moreover, I backed for early-Beta and the test earlier wasn't even real Alpha. It's pre-Alpha. So I feel I've already been treated with more reward than I had originally paid for.

The alpha ended today Emma, so I'm assuming that is why the keys got revoked.
We'll get new keys for the next beta.

Seems like a silly system, as they could just have updated the original version. but I assume they have a reason for it.
We wouldn't have been able to play after today anyways, that's how betas work.

Not happy with the steam keys being revoked, that's a cold thing to do to people who supported alpha. The least that could have been done was to allow people to continue playing even if it was a crude version, kind of mean on people who paid extra for pre-release content.

God these screenshots are super gorgeous! Holy heck; I can't believe how far Re:Legend has come - it looks so much better than it did before, and MILES ahead of back in the day when it was 'Legend of Lumina.' Jeez, the game has come so far - it's exciting to hear you're going to go and work in people's feedback too and keep on making it even better (^-^)
