About this project
What is Berry Shire?
Based on the original play Switched by Joey Mayberry, Berry Shire is a fairy tale spoof that follows two princes of a small kingdom. In the end, there can be only one...ruler, but have the King and Queen chosen the right son to inherit the throne? When Prince Laronso and Prince Jackson meet a beautiful maiden in the forest, their characters will be tested and their true colors revealed.

Why are we putting a web series together?
Because we can, and too many people are involved now! No really, a group of us started up this project to do the one thing we wish to accomplish out of life, entertain people in any way possible! Working in the entertainment industry and interacting with guests day to day, we got together and decided to put this project together to bring a new form of entertainment while also putting our talents to good use and helping to further our careers and aspirations.
Berry Shire is an adaptation of the theater play titled Switched. After a successful run at Limestone theater, writer and creator, Joey Mayberry, decided to adapt the play into 10 episodes focusing more on the lovable characters while still keeping to the original plot. After many fun re-writing sessions, we then ventured out to find actors to perfectly match the faces to our characters.
After holding quite a few fun and successful auditions, we were able to find an incredibly great and talented group of cast members who will not only be enjoyable to work with, but will do an amazing job bringing our story and characters to life!
Not only do we have talented actors, but an awesome crew as well!
Among our team we have an artist rendering our very own Berry Shire logo, a composer currently working on our soundtrack, multiple animators drawing up story boards based on the images that our director, Cassi, will be bringing to life, make-up artists, a costume specialist, set designers, a film editor, a special effects artist who will add mystical enchantment to our fairy tale story, and talented crew members who have the experience we need to film this production as smoothly as possible!
So what do we need from you?
What we are seeking from you is a generous donation. We have had so much fun, working hard to pull our resources together, but there is still so much more to accomplish, and that's where you come in! We simply can not do the rest without help from you! So if you could please take a short moment of your time and click on that big green button that reads "Back our project." We have an assortment of amazing rewards, and we hope that you see one you like! Plus clicking on that green button not only means that you've donated to us, but that you believe in the project as well, and that means a great deal!

Risks and challenges
Like every project ever started, there are risks and challenges to be faced. One of them is making sure we are able to get the amount of money we need to get our project from pre-production into production, and our dream a reality. Thanks to Kickstarter we can help face this challenge by reaching out to the same medium intended for our show, the internet! With your help we not only will be able to go further with our project but will know we have your support as well!
We will run into problems such as scheduling issues, finding out at the last minute someone has to call in sick, or one of our lights for the sets isn't working. These things happen and we know so we'll be having a back up for our back up. We are determined to keep pushing forward and getting this project from start to finish.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
