About this project
THANK YOU to everyone who has helped me reach my goal! I'd like to now shift the focus of this project from fundraising to selling my one of a kind pieces of jewelry. Please check the rewards to the left to see what's available, and you can find photos of these items in Update #5
Now...about my project!
I'm Lauren Embree, an eco friendly jewelry designer based in the beautiful Ozark mountains of Northwest Arkansas. I create one of a kind jewelry from recycled vintage & castoff materials paired with gemstones and other natural elements. I started my jewelry business after I was laid off from a job over a year ago, and I've been busting my butt to get my name & designs out into the "green" fashion world. Well, it's paid off! In January, Martha Stewart's Whole Living magazine is going to run a feature on my jewelry, and none other than Vogue magazine has requested my designs to use in a photo shoot!
While I'm absolutely ecstatic & humbled about the press, I'm definitely not prepared to meet the inevitable demand for my jewelry once these stories hit! Vogue alone has a total audience of over 12 million!!
So...I need your help! I have very little time (and even less $$) to go into super jewelry production mode to ensure that everyone who wants a piece of Lauren Embree Jewelry can have one (or 2 or 3!)
And you can have yours, too! In addition to earning eco friendly jewelry for yourself, you will help fund:
-One of a kind vintage materials to incorporate into designs
-Gemstones (I buy fair trade as much as possible)
-Jewelry findings & materials (wire, ear hooks, clasps, jump/split rings, etc)
-Tools (pliers, wire cutters, rotary tool, adhesives, stone setting pliers)
-Product & model photography
-Upgrades to my website to ensure its ability to handle increased traffic flow & sales
A million THANK YOUs for your help in making this dream a reality!
