So this may have already been answered and I missed it. Is there going to be a pledge manager or another way to upgrade our pledges?

I'm really liking the art samples. Even more engaging is how simple yet effective the character sheet is. It really shows how the character templating cuts down on the need for lots of listed skills.

Backerkit links have not been sent out yet because we still need an accurate weight to calculate shipping properly. Layout is progressing well and we hope to have this information soon.—Colleen

Yay! Backerkit! Because I REALLY want to up my pledge.

    6. Pelgrane Press 2-time creator on

Apologies for the radio silence - it seems like some of your comments slipped under the radar during a staff changeover. Colleen, our new support person, is super on the ball, and so you can expect replies in a timely manner going forward. And we've heard you on the regular updates - we're now posting updates at least monthly, and this will likely become more frequent as we get closer to launch.

We're working on getting Backerkit set up at the moment. Regular fans of the Pelgrane will know that a four-book set in a slipcase isn't something we've done before, so we need to know what size and weight the finished books will be to accurately calculate shipping for these. We'll need to have the books nearly laid out to calculate the weight, which has to happen before we can send out Backerkit invites - they're in layout at the moment, so we're hoping to send out invites in mid-May. We'll keep you posted! ^Cat

I wish this project would update more often with actual progress reports. Is it on track?

If there's time to write an update asking for people's time to promote a company's games at conventions then there should be time for status updates once per month. (Now it seems like once every two months.)

      Naotaba.

My advice falls upon deaf ears, I fear her heart poisoned by the stranger who walks our halls. His ragged countenance does chill me to the bone, I do not like his presence here, but he has won favour with the Queen and my words fall unheard to the chamber floor.

@Nick - With Gen Con in the rear view mirror I'm now putting together the revised version of Paris for the first playtest wave, which I hope to see announced to backers in the next month or so.

A playtest pack for the Wars will follow a few months later, definitely before Dec 2018. It will include the intro scenario.

I want to start running a playtest campaign towards the end of the year, set in The Wars setting. Is there likely to be any substuantial new material for this sourcebook released in draft form (particularly scenarios - even outlines) ahead of December 2018?

@Ronaldo - Pelgrane uses more than one shipper. Could you please contact Pelgrane customer service at support@pelgranepress.com to help them track this issue down?

    19. Ronaldo Mascarenhas on

As a gentle suggestion, I would like you talk with the shipping company to improve the protection of packages from the books at the time of submission. My deluxe copy of Dracula Dossier got a little dent (sic) on the cover and came loose in the cardboard package.

Just finished the previews - they remind me a bit of Simon Green's "Nightside" series.

The premise of the novels is equal parts dark fantasy, cyberpunk, and film noir detective story. A city that shouldn't exist, where its always 3 am, and the full moon hangs so low you could almost touch it, the Nightside is a place where men and monsters walk side by side. Where fallen gods peddle salvation down dark alleys, and neither heaven nor hell claims dominion. Anything is available for a price, from the latest books by long dead authors (freshly imported from the afterlife!), to alien technology . . .

The main character is John Taylor, whom some call a king-in-waiting, and others the spawn of Hell. Run out of the Nightside by faceless horrors, he's lived in mundane London for years, working as a detective. But one day, a woman comes into his office. Her daughter has run away, to a place called the Nightside. And if he doesn't help her, she'll go looking for it herself . . .

. . .and as John Taylor walks those familiar streets, listening to the screams as the Little Sisters of the Chainsaw seek fresh converts, he realizes just how much he missed it all. Let them come - the Lamentation or the King of Thorns, the Collector or the Harrowing. This is his home. And if they want to take it from him, he'll give them one hell of a fight. . .

@Gary - These PDFs go to all backer levels above Dauber, so you're covered.

I see they have the Dracula Dossier ones for sale. Would they, at some point after the KS commitments are met, and they have time, be authorized to make more?

    46. Pelgrane Press 2-time creator on

@Shawn - They are handmade so we can only get a certain number from the lovely folks at All Rolled Up.

We considered increasing production by locking them in an oubliette by the black shore of Lake Hali, but apparently that won't be legal until after Brexit. —RDL

    47. Shawn Riley-Rau on

Well there be any way to get the the yellow King ARU other then the super limited sold out teirs?

    48. Pelgrane Press 2-time creator on

@Joe - As Shai says, the Paris book contains the full rules. Although I think the full four-setting experience really offers something special (see http://site.pelgranepress.com/index.php/how-connections-between-yellow-king-realities-emerge-in-play/ ) you and your group could quite easily run a long or short series (or a one-shot) in any of the settings and have a blast with it.
