O'er the Hills Early Peninsula War Scenarios 1808-1809
A supplement containing a set of wargames scenarios for the Napoleonic rules Over the Hills
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Sat, October 20 2018 11:00 PM UTC +00:00.
Following the launch of our successful rule set “Over the Hills a Napoleonic War game”, we also launched our “Over the Hills Fatigue Board” project on Kickstarter in Spring 2017; this also proved successful and we delivered to backers within 6 weeks.
In August 2017 we launched our first skirmish wargame entitled Forager the Napoleonic Skirmish Game accompanied by our very own 28mm Napoleonic figure range including French, Portuguese, Spanish and British characters for the Forager game. The campaign funded in three days and was a huge success with project delivery times being met. Recently we have returned to Kickstarter with two sets of rules based on our Over the Hills format. Both Rise and Fight Again the American Revolutionary wargame and Over Malver Hill the American Civil Wargame were successfully funded.
We are now pleased to announce the launch of our next exciting project O'er the Hills the Early Peninsula War Scenario Supplement to our successful Napoleonic wargames rules Over the Hills.
The Scenario supplement has been written by Mr Jonathan Jones of http://jjwargames.blogspot.com/ fame. JJ loves Napoleonic wargaming and has an uncanny ability to create exceptional scenarios.
The 101 page supplement includes twelve action packed scenarios that allow you the gamer to recreate some of the greatest battles of the early Peninsula War. Battles such as Roliça, Vimeiro, Oporto, Corunna and Talavera are all included. Each scenario comes complete with orders of battle, detailed map and deployment lay outs and scenario special rules. Also included within this supplement is the authors notes on the scenarios and helpful hints on how to game using the Over the Hills ruleset. The supplement also contains three detailed army lists for Anglo/Portuguese, Spanish and French forces.
As a added bonus, with the successful funding of this project a further two scenarios will be provided for Barrosa and Castalla along with an additional early Portugese list
Risks and challenges
As a Company Stand to Games do not envisage any risks to this project. The rules are written and the printing company identified and used on our successful Forager and Rise and Fight Again project. We have always delivered on our promises through Kickstarter.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
