@Paul Zakrzewski: "Oh crap... I didn't consider Latin based names... so loooong."
Quick heads up - my surname is Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. That's Mr Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious to all who know me. :)
I think this is a great idea, it'll be a lot of fun to see me name & call sign used in the game.
Oh crap... I didn't consider Latin based names... so loooong... hehe look whose talking eh? Yeah call signs are optional.
I love the idea. Personaly i preferre the full name than the callsign.
I cant wait to get my hands on the finished version!!!!
Re: Admiral Hammer
If you're throwing naval ranks around then you need to get a grip on the command structure. =P
Admirals don't captain ships. They don't.
An admiral commands a squadron/flotilla/fleet/whatever of ships... ideally from the flag bridge.
The flag captain is in charge of the ship the admiral happens to be traveling on.
The admiral and his staff are passengers on this ship.
The flag ship is typically the largest ship present because this staff needs facilities... ideally a ship with a dedicated flag bridge.
A commodore might be commanding a destroyer squadron but may or may not be doubling as the flag captain.
The rank is determined by what kind of a ship it is. So for example if its a drone then it would be lowly Operator: Hammer
If a carrier - then maybe Admiral Hammer? I'll have to research and get feedback on these.
The goal of these titled would be to increase immersion and make ships even more unique.
Thanks for the feedback guys.
Hehe.. Commander Hammer ? Hope that I can set up the names I wanna have in :D
Hmm...Commander Gott does have a nice ring to it
Awesome, can't wait to get my name put in and certainly look forward to playing this game :-)
