Noemi Press is excited to be launching our 2016-2017 catalogs! We are passionate about bringing groundbreaking works from established and emerging writers into the hands of our readers.
As we gain new readers and writers, our staff, comprised of mainly volunteers, works tirelessly because we care deeply about the books we put out.
The next two years features some of the most diverse and exciting voices we've had the pleasure of working with at Noemi, and we are incredibly proud of our authors. We are thrilled to bring you new work from Vanessa Villarreal, Jessica Anne Chiang, Claire Marie Stancek, Jose Antonio Ramos Sucre, Yanara Friedland, Muriel Leung, Arielle Greenberg, Carolina Ebeid, the Blunt Research Group, Roberto Tejada, Liz Waldner, Colleen Hollister, Steven Karl, Sarah Vap, and John Pluecker. Our Infidels poetics series continues to push boundaries and ask questions.
In addition, in keeping with our goal of supporting important Latin@ writing, we will be reprinting Jennifer Tamayo's YOU DA ONE. Tamayo's work has touched us all as readers and editors over the years, and are honored to keep this amazing collection in print.
We are also bring you one of the most unique works ever featured at Noemi Press, a collaboration between photographer Thomas Sayer Ellis and poet Jennifer Fitzgerald. THE ART OF WORK is both intriguing and inspiring, and we know you will be as blown away by it as we are.
Noemi Press's 2016-2017 catalogs are our most ambitious and rewarding catalogs yet. In order to create these books, we have to put in more late nights, more sweat and tears, and more money than we usually do. Readers and friends, we are reaching out to you for help.
Our prizes include Noemi swag, original pieces, and other exciting rewards, donated generously by Noemi authors, staff, and board. But know more than that, you will have our gratitude. We work for our authors and ourselves, but firstly, we work for our readers. We hope you see in these books what we see in them, and we cannot thank you enough for your continued support, not just now, but throughout the years
Risks and challenges
These catalogs include exhilarating and challenging works by writers who are pushing boundaries. As a small press, we rely on a primarily volunteer staff, but we have created an inter-connected team and community that pushes through and publishes the best quality books possible. As with any artistic project, we are challenged to bring our work to mainstream culture. However, we are confident that our catalogs include poetry, fiction, and hybrid books that are essential to today's literary landscape.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
