After having launched the game on XboxOne and Steam we have taken the time to go over the feedback from our players. It’s was obvious from this feedback that the first part of the game needed some attention and so we spent most of October addressing this:
Prologue/Tutorial - based on player feedback, we decided to makes some changes in the way we begin our game and how tutorials are introduced, making the whole experience a lot smoother and more effective.
Guidance - we also have seen some players getting lost and unsure where to head next. We’ve added a lot more guidance for the player and have made major plot points clearer.
Optimization - we’ve worked countless hours optimizing the game and making it more stable and smooth.
Balancing - we’ve tweaked and balanced the game in numerous places and have also added a better way of informing you on where your current level stands compared to the enemies you are fighting.
Initial feedback indicate that these changes have had the impact we hoped. While doing the improvements, we postponed launching the game on GOG.
Making these adjustments has pushed the earliest Playstation 4 launch date towards the holiday season which is very problematic for a small indie studio. The holidays are dominated by AAA studios with their gigantic marketing budgets. With a longer lead time we will also able to do better outreach and make as much splash in the market as possible ahead of the PS4 release, which will be easier if we avoid the holiday madness. We are also coordinating our digital Playstation 4 launch with the launch of boxed versions of the game for Xbox One, PC and Playstation 4 which will be early 2017.
We decided to use a third party service to port Earthlock to the WiiU. This will allow us to release the game sooner. We will release on WiiU as soon as the game is ready, which looks to be in the similar time frame as the PS4 version.
We will be launching on GOG once all the changes listed above are made to provide the best experience at launch.
The game has been localized in 7 new languages and they will be available November 27th, on Steam. In no particular order:

These languages will be released on Xbox as well in the near future.
