Open Utopia is Open!
Dear friends, supporters and utopianists,
And...it's not complete. (Is any good Utopia?) Since this edition of Thomas More's Utopia is partially user-generated, it needs your input. Two of the more exciting features of the Open Utopia are a community annotatable "Social Book" edition--created with the Institute for the Future of the Book -- and Wikitopia, a wiki platform for collective authorship of a new Utopia. Please help create a new, collaborative Utopia here.
The old-fashioned print edition of Open Utopia is headed to the printers. If you've been promised a copy as your reward you will get yours as soon as they come back (and a big thank you for being so patient!). For the rest, you can either wait until a copy arrives at your favorite bookstore, or you can assemble your own. Here's the cover:
Many thanks to all of you who have supported the Open Utopia and, again, many thanks for your patience in what turned out to be a considerably longer and more complex project than I anticipated. Open Utopia will be forever changing and expanding and I hope you will be part of that creative process. Please visit.
Onward toward Utopia!
