Unsacrifice is a classic survival horror game compile in a solo campaign. You will play as a priest apprentice, lost in a world full of mysteries, hidden dangers and deformed creatures that the player has to escape from.
We do not need unnecessary jumpscares so we just prefer to place the player in a very difficult situation...
As a player, you will have to get through the dangers of the temple and as you seek truth, but you may have to get dirty...
Grasp the few lights present in your journey, they might be your only help...
...Because you are free to interact with the enviroment in very different ways, destroying or burning props or even combining them. You will have the freedom to explore, hide, decide ...
... But also you are free to fail and die.
Will you have the skills to survive?
There are two protagonist in Unsacrifice: you and the puzzles. Resolving them is your main purpose. Every enigma is different one form each other, becoming harder as you overcome them.
The narrative experience is based on the way you confront the puzzles during your gameplay. You will get not only a personal satisfaction when you resolve one, but also a new step into the Unsacrifce story.
Unsacrifice is set in an undefined era, in a dark and hostile world mixing different ancient cultures aesthetics. The unique artstyle is something we put a lot of effort on. We wanted to create beautiful environments that, at the same time, terrifies the player with gore elements placed all over them.
It is this kind of duality we wanted to showcase in our game. There’s always two sides to everything, and the player is in the middle, being forced to decide to be able to go forward.
We kown that a deep disturbing original sound tracks it is absolutly necessary in this genre so we are going to add the work of Pablo Redondo. Check this sample here!
But also, we are aware how important sound design are , so we are crafting our own sounds to get Unsacrifice audio as higher as the imaginery is.
As a classic survival horror game, Unsacrifice is played from a first-person view and usual keyboard + mouse controls, but we thought that we can go further in this inmersive experience.
We also want to use Virtual Reality technology not only because graphics but to focus on the narrative, since we feel the market is flooded with VR shooters and simulators which only focus on the gameplay and this have to change. Our mechanics are designed to grant a intense VR experience with motion controllers, provinding the freedom that the players demand in the survival horror genre.
So if you purchase "The Oblation" tier or higher, you will get access to both VR and non VR game, in case you don't have a VR headset
We are a small team with limited resources.To launch Unsacrifice in other plataforms we need resources that we do not have. We want to reach every platform posible, but we can not promise things we are not able to acomplish. So, everything depends if this campaing is succesful or not.

We are an Indie Studio created in Seville in 2017 (we consider our studio indie because we have all creative decision in our hand). The team is composed by a multidisciplinary developers who love play and craft videogames.
Base game budget consist in basically pay the necessary office for our team to work together, ensuring the developers motivation and efficiency. We are creating Unsacrifice with our own money so far and facing another developing year is too much without the proper workplace.
Once the streched goal is adquired, budget will focus on reaching more plataforms and increasing the game experience.
We just want to make good videogames. We play it, we love it and we know how they are developed, and that is why we understand that free decisions in a creative development like this has a high cost, but that is what we want.
We want backers’ feedback. We need the energy to carry on with the project. Feel that there is people there that has felt in love with our idea of the game as we did. That support now and during the development will make possible the game and will make us grow as developers.

Risks and challenges
As small and new team we face the inevitable lack of resources. That involves no money to pay more people to help us or makerting investment. Core team has the necessary pasion to develop the game, but finding people with the same pasion is no easy.
