About
World War II gave humanity some of its darkest days, millions of men sent off to war, genocide on an unbelievable scale, and millions left homeless and their families destroyed. From America, to Germany, to Russia, to Japan and more, not a single country was left unscathed from the horrors of this war.
Ghosts of World War II follows three friends as they traverse through some of the war’s most notorious sites, as well as the little known sites to hunt for spirits still lingering behind.
WHAT THE DOCUMENTARY IS ABOUT
Ghosts of World War II focuses on the efforts of three friends as they traverse through Europe, doing ghost hunts at locations that have very large tie-ins to World War II.
Places such as Wewelsburg Castle - located in the village of Wewelsburg - was used during the war as a location for the planning of SS swearing in ceremonies, as well as many spring conferences of generals took place there. The castle was also being prepared by Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler as a location to become both the center of the world after victory as well as the Reich SS Leadership school. The castle is currently serving dual purposes with one wing being used as a museum, and another wing as a 204 bed hostel.
Each location will thoroughly be researched, enabling us to learn the history of the location before, during, and after the war. If the location has people working inside it, they will be interviewed about their experiences inside the building. As dusk approaches, the team will enter the location to set up several security cameras, as well as audio recording devices. During the hunt, two members of the team will go out into the various rooms to try to contact the spirits by diverse means. Questions will be asked, items will be left out for the spirits to move, and (if possible) an item pertaining to the location will be used. Once the sun rises, the team will tear down their set-up and return to the hotel to begin analyzing the data before going to the next location.
During the filming of this documentary, we will be keeping our fans up-to-date online with blogs and other social media sites like Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, giving you all insights on how the hunt is going, where we've ventured to, and whatever else we encounter during our journey through Europe.
WHY GHOST HUNTING? WHY WWII GHOSTS?
Why not ghost hunting?! Everyone loves a good ghost story, and let's face it - people love watching others get scared out of their wits when a ball rolls across the room, or a chair starts rocking... or their friend pokes them in the side and sends them running out the building!
For World War II, it is an interest us three friends love and enjoy. Ghosts usually linger behind because of traumatic experiences, and WWII sure had those. Ghosts + WWII = Awesome.
WHERE DO THE DONATIONS GO?
Because we will be venturing to many different locations throughout Europe (especially in France, Germany, Netherlands, etc), the cost for transportation with our equipment as well as traveling in general to these different countries will be an important expense to make this documentary possible! Just as well, many locations we will set up to hunt at will require permits and other fees to access these buildings/areas/etc.
REWARDS UPDATES BELOW:
UPDATE! WE HAVE ADDED A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD CODE ON ITUNES FOR ANYONE WHO DONATES $10.00 OR MORE. AND WE HAVE ADDED A DIGITAL COPY OF THE SOUNDTRACK FOR ANYONE WHO DONATES $25.00 OR MORE!
