About this project
This is a fundraiser to kickstart the monthly comic Top of the Line by buying some time as I finish the series.
Top of the Line is the story of a kid growing into a hero and, in the process, a terrible bigoted man. More than human but less than a god, he fills the same space as the beasts he hunts, and in a monster fighting saga a monster is a dangerous thing to be.
If you're still not sure that this is the right comic for you or the right gift for your wacky uncle, you can read the first four issues online starting HERE!
Daniel McCloskey is the founder of the Cyberpunk Apocalypse writers' project, which is based out of his house. Through the Cyberpunk Apocalypse McCloskey has provided a cheap or free place to live and work for 36 comic artists and writers over the last 5 years.
McCloskey is the author of the hybrid novel, A Film About Billy, which was released October of 2012. Besides Top of the Line, McCloskey is involved in collaborative story telling projects with graphic novelist Nate McDonough, fiction writer Tyler McAndrew, and interdisciplinary literary artist Dr. Tameka Cage Conley.

The biggest expense in comic production is the artist's time. I've dedicated roughly 800 hours of an estimated 1,400 total required hours for me to finish this project. I need your help to buy that time at a going rate of roughly 92 cents per hour (this estimate is based on a project that is funded completely by subscription).
That money will pay me for my time, so can live five more months without getting another job--so that I can buy food, pay for electricity, go to the dentist, and everything else.
You can find our full financial breakdown by clicking the image above.
I need to finish this comic, because I want to see what it will look like, and that nobody else is going to make this. I hope that with your support we can watch the conclusion of this warped Perseus story together.
Risks and challenges
Creating and distributing runs of comics via mail is time consuming and tough. I have experience with this through the Cyberpunk Apocalypse zine of the month club, which lasted a year beyond the limit of it's Kickstarter run. I've also been carefully time tracking the issues of Top of the Line I have completed to ensure I can produce the issues in time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
