About this project
***THERE IS MORE INFORMATION IN THE UPDATES SECTION (top of the page)***
For as long as we can remember, we have wanted to do something important, something meaningful; we have wanted to make films and tell stories of value, rich in substance and charged with emotion.
This summer we will be making "The Frogmarch", an independent feature film about a group of twenty-somethings that stage a drug intervention for a close friend. Unfortunately, their careful planning and steely resolve are not enough to prepare them for the events that are about to unfold. The gesture soon causes all of their lives to unravel. "The Frogmarch" is a deeply personal story about the heartbreaking loyalties that hold our relationships together and the maddening bonds that tear our lives apart.
Our film is a candid portrayal of the many ways in which drug addiction affects all of the lives surrounding it. The story focuses on the desperation and deceptions which drug addicts use to defend and maintain their addictions. It is about the endless fabrications, the maze of lies and deceit. Mirages of hope and abysses of confusion. The frustration of loving a person while despising their addiction, and how that addiction eclipses their entire life and personality.
We truly believe that this film will be great and it will make you all very proud. We have a stellar cast comprised of some of the finest young actors out there and a crew of very talented and imaginative filmmakers.
In order to make a film of the highest caliber, we are asking for your financial support. There are numerous costs, ranging from small props and accessories to plane tickets and equipment rentals. Every dollar is essential. Not one cent will be taken for granted.
Thank you. We hope this message finds you well.

What inspired The Frogmarch?
"It's probably the most personal film I've written. I can't say that it's based on real events or anything like that, but all of the characters and conflicts and situations are familiar territory to me. That's probably why I put off writing it for so long. I was apprehensive about revisiting certain memories and relationships that the story deals with so I kept it bottled up in the back of my mind for a few years. Eventually it got to the point where these characters started to have these conversations and interactions in my head and sort of came to life on their own, you know, because I had been thinking about them for so long.... The idea of making a film about the self-destructive nature of a drug addict and how it effects all of the lives around them -- the emotional fallout caused by their addiction -- intrigued me and it's something that I don't think we've seen in films before."

Who is going to star in the film?
We have an amazing ensemble cast whose level of talent is intimidating, to say the least. Below we have included links to the individual pages of the cast and videos of their work:
Catherine Duennebier : IMDB
Where can I find out more about "The Frogmarch"?
You can visit the film's Official Facebook Page. Not enough? You can peruse our cast and crew profiles over at IMDB. Still not enough? Right here! Until the film is completed, we will be posting constant updates to this page so that you may always know what we are doing, how we are doing it and why the money you pledged was worth pledging. There is a great deal of information in the UPDATES SECTION (click on the tab at the top of this page) with videos and blog. Have a look.
Who gets the money?
All of the money (except the fees paid to Kickstarter) goes into making the film and ensuring that the film is of the highest quality.
Can the goal be exceeded?
Yes. The goal is only a part of the film's entire cost. The more money that is pledged = the better the film we can make.
Will everyone be able to see my pledge amount?
NO. Other than you, the producers of the film are the only ones who will see the amount of your pledge.
What happens if the funds are not raised in time?
If the goal is not met by the deadline than all of the pledges are returned and the film will not be made. A devastating thought we'd rather not consider. That is Kickstarter's "ALL OR NOTHING" policy: either ALL of the money is raised and used to make the film OR no money and no film.
If I pledge money, when will I receive my reward?
All of the rewards will be shipped after the film is completed. It takes time to make a film and most of the incentives (DVD copies of the film) will take time.
Is pledging money the ONLY way I can help?
Absolutely not. There are countless other ways to contribute to the production: from sharing the link to this page with your friends, to praying for us or just offering kind words of encouragement. All of those are tremendous gestures that would be met with sincere appreciation. Beyond moral support and spreading the word about the film, you could make an "In-Kind Donation". Basically, you could give us goods and/or supplies that we could use and thus not have to pay for. An "In-Kind Donation" could be in the form of food, or film/video equipment, or clothes that we could use for costumes, or objects that we could use as props. If you are interested in making an "In-Kind Donation" please contact us for a list of items we might need.
