Cutting Steel for Cool Sporks

Exciting things are afoot in SporkLand!

We spent more time looking at our plastic color sample chips, and have finally arrived at colors that truly capture the essence of Morsel. We think you'll dig 'em.

Here's some more exciting news: our steel molds are just about done and ready for texturing! Check out these gorgeous chunks of precision steel! If you look close you can see the mold inserts that allow us to mold Morsel Spork and Morsel Spoon from the same base tool.

By now, all of our backers should have received a personalized email invite to fill out our Backerkit survey. This is where you can pick colors, styles, and shipping details. You can also add additional discounted (!) Morsels to your order. If you didn't get a survey for some reason, you can CLICK HERE to access your personalized survey.

As a quick reminder, any orders containing a Morsel Mini will be delayed ~2 months. If you want a Morsel Spork or Spoon in addition to a Mini, we suggest placing two separate orders: one for Morsel Spork and Spoon, and another order for Mini.

We're still working hard to get Morsel into your hands, so thank you all for your continued support! If you want to help us out even more, please share Morsel with your food-loving friends and family - really, anyone you know that regularly eats food.

Cheers, and go enjoy that summer sun!

@Evil Jim: We dig your style.

@Graeme: Morsel may be used as an emergency tire iron, but we don't suggest it.

I didn't order my minis separately so I guess I'll have to wait. I know Morsel is marketed toward campers & the like, but I'm looking forward to using it for day-to-day stuff like cartons of Chinese food & tasty bowls of soup.

@Chip and Marckos: Yes, if you want your Morsel in July, you should place an additional/separate order for the Mini. Any order that includes a Mini will be delayed. You can place additional orders here: https://morselspork.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

@Justin and Ingrid: Right now we are on track to start shipping Morsel and Morsel Spoon in mid/late July.

Thanks for the update! Only when can we expect our morsels? Would be great to take them on summer picknicks an our holidays!

Really nice to see the molds, they look great!
But yeah, the most important question is: When can we expect the Morsel sporks? When will you close the survey and when will you stark producing? When can fulfillment start, where do you ship from?

thanks for the update but i have the same question that Chip had then, if we did an add-on for a mini, should we cancel that and make a new order to get the regular Morsel in July? and can we make an additional order? where is the option to do another order?

So if we did an add-on during the survey for a mini, should we cancel that and make a new order to get the regular Morsel in July?

I'm an engineer and I have to say I get more enjoyment from information like this than almost any other information. Like you, I find the steel molds totally cool...
