A great way to play football with cards
It's tense... It's exciting... It's both simple and tactical. Anyone from 8 to 80 can enjoy it... 2 players, 2 teams going head to head... Last minute goals, corners, extra time and penalties make KIX a really fun and absorbing football game.
With one pack the quickest and simplest version of the game can be played. It takes about 5 minutes and is all action, high scoring fun. It is the easiest way to learn how to play KIX too.
When you play with two packs the full game experience can also be enjoyed. It's longer at about 10-15 minute a game and all the added aspects of the game, like substitutions and half time etc. come into play with an even more tactical edge.
Invent your own rule variations
KIX, you will discover, is based on simple principles that can be adapted easily. There will be a “KIX forum” for making suggestions and developing a more in depth experience on the website or Facebook. So check it out to see the latest developments.
Win the midfield battle!
Play always starts in midfield. Both players select a card from their hand and compare midfield skill simultaneously and discard the card and pick up a another from your pile.
Beat the defence!!
If you won that play you select a new card from your hand to play in attack and the other has to select a card to defend. Discard and pick up.
Shoot on goal!!!
If you get through the defence you shoot on goal. Striker vs. Goalie Beat the goaile and you score.
Try to hold your lead for the whole match
Play returns to midfield and the game continues. flowing from end to end until the game ends when all the cards in the pick up pile and your hand are played.
Play KIX almost anywhere
Play when you want to, on the bus, on those long car journeys... on the walk to school. The patent pending card playing box is designed to let you play and take KIX everywhere so you can play it when you feel like it.
KIX is a totally gender equal game because why wouldn't we do this?! Play a boys team vs a girls team on a level playing field for once because girls can like football too.
IT Games is passionate about using the business to try to have a positive impact to everyone who comes into contact with us. Making great games that will enable us to give opportunities to those who need a chance.
IT Games is being hugely supported by the amazing people at Borges & Scott by allowing me to store and fulfil the game from their warehouse in Bristol. Together we hope that through growing our businesses we can create living wage employment opportunities for people who otherwise wouldn't normally be able to get work.

I'm using sustainably sourced card and the completely recyclable polypropylene for the box to minimise, as much as I can, the environmental impact of the product.
STAGE 1: Finalising production ready prototypes of the cards and the box. Laser cut prototyping and final artworking costs about £400-£600
STAGE 2: Managing final production of the packs for a planned September/October delivery. Costs at least £4000 (for card printing and box production).
STAGE 3: Sending all the shiny new games out to my favourite backers (that's you).
• If you want more than one named card message me and I can arrange it.
Risks and challenges
This is a low risk project.
Production is straight forward and lacking the funding for this is the only real barrier. I will be producing this in the UK and am working with the best companies that I can source. I'm confident that my 15 years experience of managing print and packaging production as a graphic designer will overcome any issue that I may face here.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
