Current Qi systems are available for charging primarily mobile phones that either have Qi receivers built in or after-market phone cases. They are designed to charge one device at a time and typically work over a charger to receiver distance of 2-3 mm and with the receiver in the device placed in a very specific location (only a few mm positioning freedom in any direction).
The Jolt charger is designed to allow several cameras or batteries inside a camera and protective casing or by themselves to be charged simultaneously anywhere on the pad efficiently. While the fundamental inductive technology is similar, the Jolt system is much more sophisticated in its design to enable this kind of operation.
With a typical Qi charger, the system would be able to charge only one device or battery at a time and since the battery is inside the camera and far away from the charger surface, efficiency would have been worse and alignment of the battery to charger coils would have been difficult.
