What is a prototype?

A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:

Proof of Concept

Explorations that test ideas and functionality.

Functional Prototype

Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.

Appearance Prototype

Looks like the final product, but is not functional.

Design Prototype

Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.

Production Prototype

Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.

About

7 years ago I started as an experiment, the symtomchecker www.mybodyassistant.com (www.mijnklachtenassistent.nl). During the years I got convinced that this application and this way of handling our data is very efficiënt. This can help us to get the correct infomation available at the moment we need it.

Because we can add our own medical knowledge to the website, we can simply influence the outcome to help other patiënts with a compairable  disease.
Untill now I funded this website by my own personal money. Because I was able to develop a lot of it my selve, this became to what it is now. This system is allready searching into 2000 diseases and becomes smarter day by day because users are adding knowledge to it.

What?
To get this symptomchecker more embed within the society, I need to start spending money to marketing and translations, so I can use your help in this.

Risks and challenges

A challenge is to find the right marketing technique to spend this money as efficient as possible. Marketing is very money consuming, so I need to find a right balance between the amount of money and the amount of people it makes aware of this symptomchecker.

This symptomchecker (www.mybodyassistant.com / www.mijnklachtenassistent.nl) started in 2009 and a lot of effort has spend to it from my own personal money and time. To bring this symptomchecker to a higher level, I need to spend money to commercials. We are going to use this amount to spread this website along society.
