Who should buy NurtureU box set?
Anybody who knows and loves a pregnant mom! Because NurtureU ensures the little one is on the right track with NurtureU activity cards. This unique set of cards helps both moms and babies grow in more than 80 ways! NurtureU empowers moms, providing them with simple and fun activities designed to help children from 0 to 12 months develop essential skills. As every child is different, you can focus on any skill you feel is important. This is not only a great way to help children learn, but also serves as a fantastic bonding experience.
What is included in the box set?
The high quality, adorable box with drawer, which holds the 84 cards. Each set of cards includes 80 different activities cards. These cards are held together by a convenient plastic ring, which allows NurtureU cards to go anywhere you go. You and your child can practice important developmental skills at home, the park, or even waiting rooms!
How are the cards organized?
The NurtureU box is organized by months (0 – 12), and each month includes five to seven cards. There are several types of cards: Author Cards (activities suggested by experienced mothers), Specialist Cards (activities created by professionals), Informational Cards, and For U Mama Cards (suggestions on how to take care of yourself). The NurtureU cards’ suggested schedule is arranged around common developmental milestones. Keep in mind that each baby has a unique developmental growth pattern, and not all babies will develop according to the cards’ schedule. Feel free to personalize your NurtureU cards to your needs: flip ’em, switch ’em, move ’em, hook ‘em, and box ’em.
What are NurtureU cards? Why support the NurtureU campaign?
NurtureU box sets are manufactured and ready to sell. However, start up cost and the marketing budget are becoming more daunting for this one-mama-show to fund. I am hoping the Kickstarter campaign is the right jump start for NurtureU.
What and why should you support this non-profit?
The nonprofit NurtureU has chosen to give to is a unique partnership between a local school district and a nonprofit organization. Its goal is to educate and support high school students who are pregnant or have young children. Because transportation and daycare issues are two of the main reasons for these at-risk students to drop out, this school provides both. The onsite daycare allows students (mothers and/or fathers) to dine with their children and then, focus on their academics. The school district provides a typical academic curriculum, while the non-profit organization focuses on invaluable life skills, such as household budgeting, parenting skills, and continuing on to earn a higher education. Most of the students will exit the program with not only a high school diploma, but their Fall semester’s college schedule in hand.
Risks and challenges
Luckily, the product is in the warehouse waiting to be delivered making the risks very minimal to you, the backer. The only risk with this campaign is if we sell more than 2,200 units of stock. If that is the case, it would take a few months for the manufacturer to produce them and ship the product.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
