As many of you know, I started Empty to share the stories of parents who have experienced child loss in my local community (Tri-Cities, WA). I want to reflect light on the stigma that revolves around the death of children. Through the gracious efforts of talented authors of various online parenting sites, the word has spread about my project. Child loss happens all over our country and affects many families.
I'm now in the process of writing/designing a book on my experience as an artist in losing a child, as well as, sharing my empty story. This book will mostly highlight the original stories told in the Empty Photo Project with stunning images and it will speak more about my process in creating the Empty photo project and the importance of sharing child loss to create connection around the world.
Risks and challenges
Part of my project is to visit the locations that have significance to each participants story.
My goal is to expand out of my local community and to reach parents across the nation. In order for me to do this, I need assistance in funding. Traveling across the country is a taxing process, especially, financially.
I would love to invite you on this journey with me in shining a light on the hardships associated with child loss and provide a sense of support for these families in need.
The cities (and surrounding areas)on my current itinerary:
Salt Lake City, Utah
Buffalo, New York
The Woodlands & Round Rock, Texas
Raleigh, North Carolina
All proceeds will go to your books and tees, as well as my travel expenses to visit those who wish to participate in the Empty Photo Project.
Thank you all in advance. Sending all of my love. Thank you for sharing Empty.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
