High Resolution Technologies (HRT) dSp is a digital Sound processor that provides significantly improved headphone sound quality for smartphones, tablets, and portable devices. The dSp was designed for smartphones, tablets and other portable devices running operating systems such as; Android Lollipop, Chrome OS, Windows, Apple OSX and others. The dSp incorporates proprietary digital Sound processing and conversion along with a high-performance headphone amplifier, all within an extremely portable form factor.
The dSp is designed for those who use their phones, tablets, laptops and other portable devices as their primary listening and viewing platforms and who seek the best-possible headphone or in ear listening experience for music, video, and gaming by providing improved resolution, spatiality, dynamics, and heightened realism.
The HRT dSp is compatible with all audio formats supported by portable devices thanks to its UAC (USB Audio Class) interface. The dSp’s extremely low power consumption allows for extended playing time and with its plug-and-play connectivity, eliminates any complex setups. The dSp supports all audio formats including MP3, AAC, FLAC, PCM, Apple and Windows lossless, along with all streaming audio and video formats, and is firmware-upgradeable to accommodate future updates.
Ideal for use with a wide range of headphones, the dSp draws from HRT’s pioneering R & D in the USB audio accessories category and decades of involvement in high-performance audio. The HRT dSp incorporates high-performance microelectronics and proprietary digital Sound processing software to deliver the very best listening experience possible from any in ears or headphones. With its included cables the dSp can also be used as an outboard digital Sound processor with desktop and notebook computers.

Video Script
Hello, my name is Michael Hobson and I am the CEO of High Resolution Technologies based in Los Angeles with production and warehousing in Anaheim CA.
I’m here to introduce you to our newest products – dSp and i-dSp , “look at how cute they are” (holding them up). Don’t be fooled by their sleekness and small size – these are very powerful Digital Sound Processors. The dSp is designed specifically for Android 5, also known as Android “L” or “Lollipop” OS devices while i-dSp as you might suspect is made exclusively to work with Apple lightning equipped iOS devices. Both dSp and i-dSp take the digital audio data stream from your preferred mobile device and process and amplify it making your favorite headphones sound their best. Both the dSp and i-dSp are fully developed and ready to bring to market.
Let me tell you a little bit about High Resolution Technologies. HRT was a startup in 2009 and defined a new category now known as USB digital to analog convertors (DAC’s) for computer users who moved from CD’s to listening to music via their computers. Over the past six years we have had over 100 reviews and sold tens of thousands of our award winning DAC’s worldwide. Here at our Anaheim facility we build, test and warehouse HRT products that we are proud to say are both designed and manufactured in Southern California.
A little bit about me:I come from the music side of the business having founded a company called Classic Records in 1994 which reissued over 500 Classic Rock, Jazz and Classical titles on vinyl and DVD Audio.I sold that company in 2010 to focus on HRT. My partner, HRT co-founder, and our CTO Kevin Halverson comes from the engineering side of the business having founded Muse Electronics and is the genius behind the sound of our highly acclaimed products. Together we founded HRT with the idea that “Everyone Deserves Great Sound”
We are very excited to introduce the dSp products to the mobile market where more and more people are streaming their music via Tidal and Spotify among others through their mobile device into headphones
Here’s how easy it is to improve your mobile headphone experience: Simply plug i-dSp, using the Apple Lightning Camera Adapter (sold separately) into your lightning equipped iPhone, iPad or iPod and plug you headphones into this end and press play to hear music sound crisper, clearer and more realistic than ever before. The dSp works exactly the same way on Android “L” mobile devices like this HTC Nexus 9 with the included host mode cable. Also included with dSp is this cable which allows dSp to work with a computer as well. Plug and hit Play to have what we refer to as an “Ear-gasm” resulting in an ear to ear smile.
So why are we doing a Kickstarter – we’re not a startup but a well known established company. Because our dSp products are low cost, high performance and most importantly, high volume products that will appeal to millions of mobile headphone listeners rather than a few hundred audiophiles we need your help in funding the initial product run which we are ready to do immediately once we are funded. With your initial help in capitalizing these groundbreaking products that currently have no competitors together we can bring a better headphone experience to millions of people. Go on sign up for one of our incentive based offerings and be the first to have an HRT dSp or i-dSp and experience your headphones like you never have before.Thank you.

Risks and challenges
We are a company with years of experience producing similar products. After having done this for so long we are confident that we will have production running in no time. Any major problems that may arise will be worked through. We have had great success producing our products in the past and don't foresee any problems with the dSp and i-dSp
