SYL-LA-BLES™ - - - The Game That Encourages You to Think Big!
The object of Syl-la-bles™ is to come up with the longest and most difficult (correctly spelled) word that begins with the letter on the space you land on. The longer the word, the more points you score. Fun for all ages and abilities, the difficulty of the words is up to each individual playing the game.
Each letter has a point value and each syllable is worth 50 points. Do you risk mis-spelling a longer word? Or play it safe and make sure you can score? The strategy is up to you and the possibilities are endless.
Land on Thesaurus or Spelling Bee squares and score 500 points if you can guess correctly! The first person to achieve a set amount of points wins. Educational and fun, Syl-la-bles™ is the game for all ages that encourages you to think big.
Help launch Syl-la-bles to the next level!
I have decided to start a Kickstarter project in the hopes of raising enough money to create an app version of the board game and then also do some marketing and advertising for the Syl-la-bles app. The game has been on the market for about 8 years now but only through limited retail distribution because the toy business is really tough these days. Everything is going digital and I hope to mimic the success of app games like Words with Friends. My day job is owner of a sales agency in the toy industry in North America so I have seen it and deal with it first hand every day! Getting a good response to this Kickstarter project would really help in me letting the world know how great a game Syl-la-bles really is. I have funded the entire game design, production and sales and distribution on my own so now is a great time to open it up to the public that love board games! Back in 2010 I was lucky enough to make an appearance on the hit CBC show Dragon's Den (Canada's version of Shark Tank) and I was able to get the FIRST board game deal in the show's history, as well as entrepreneur of the night! Check out the game website where you can watch my pitch on the hit CBC show Dragon's Den (Canada's version of Shark Tank)
