ABOUT THE PROJECT
Do Re MiNK (working title) is my first CD, a kind of memoir of my life in songs written by other people, some of whom were part of the Los Angeles incarnation of my Wonderful Band. Some of them I’ve been performing for years, some I found more recently; all of them I love. My Wonderful Band is now in its Baltimore incarnation.
ABOUT THE MONEY
The money goes to the songwriters, to the musicians, to paying for rehearsal studio time and recording studio time, and the recording engineer. I also need to hire a professional to make sure have all the rights I need to the music and everthing is legal. There are the costs of the cover art, the printing, and the pressing of the discs. Plus, there are always surprise expenses that I can’t foresee. If we are lucky enough to make more than our goal, I’d love to bring my California musicians east to join my Baltimore musicians on at least one or two tracks.
When you pledge your support, you can count yourself among my very best friends. You get cool stuff and my eternal thanks. You will be kept in the loop as to the progress of the CD and will know that you have been part of making a dream come true.

This is how it all began -- me on stage at The Gauntlet, in the Silver Lake section of Los Angeles, singing my heart out and having the time of my life. I knew that from then on, music would be a major part of my life.
IN THE WAY BACK
Live onstage in 1972 at the Palace Theater in San Francisco, performing No Nose Nanook in Vice Palace. Also in that show were Divine, and, of course, the amazing, legendary Cockettes. This was such a great experience for me that I have to include this song on the CD.
NEW BEGINNING IN BALTIMORE
This is the poster for the first show I did after moviing back home, with the Baltimore edition of my Wonderful Band, As you can tell, I'm fond of that photo.
