The reason why you guys are able to watch this video right now is because we have an obsession with this game called Dizzlike! Money is an issue though, and we would hereby ask you to help us get the game on track!
We consider Dizzlike as a fun parody of the #1 Social Network Facebook. There is nothing wrong with social activity; I mean you as the crowd who helps us to finance the game are being social too, right? However, what it comes down to with this project is somehow being able to share our true emotions and actions for those people that post on the hour, sometimes half hour.
About the game that releases your stress:
Sometimes, it’s not just one or two friends doing it, but hundreds and maybe thousands of friends tend to get annoying. So we had this idea about a game, which helps you to virtually release your true emotions and annoyances for unimportant news and it lets you lash back at friends by allowing you to make fun of them.
Your goal is to have as few friends as possible but you can’t simply unfriend them or turn a friend request down. They have to unfriend you! You will have the ability to take negative virtual action against them without affecting your real life friendships because at the end of the day - it’s just a game.
Anton Levitskij has years of experience in the game industry. But not just in playing games for fun. He specializes on game advertisement and has an agency called Game Advertisement Solutions.
The idea about Dizzlike came from Luis. He had raised the idea of an anti-social network. The idea quickly changed from a social network to a browser game.
Every now and then people joined our team after we told them our concept. Now we are a funny bunch of all kind of people. You can check out the whole team here: www.dizzlike.com/?p=133
Even major gaming companies need external help to completely finance a new game. Not being fortunate enough to be a huge and wealthy game developing company, we would like to ask for your participation in helping fund this project. Every amount contributed helps to build our addicting game. We have been working with a passion about this game for the past months. We are ready to start as soon as possible – but professional programmers and developers have a requirement of getting paid properly and that’s their right!
We are aware that we could never create a completely satisfying game with only $90 000. But we really WANT to make this game!
With $90 000, we would only be able to build the basic structure without fancy add-ons. With realistic expectations, the goal would be to get more people to back our project, and the target number that we would like to hit is around $300 000 (our original goal).
Here you see our stretching goals:
Everyone loves rewards. So now let’s talk about the fun part – what we offer you in order to help us out.
Everybody seems to be offering t-shirts. We don’t know if this is mandatory or expected from us, but since everybody is doing it, looks like we will happily do it too. On the right side of this page, feel free to scope the list of rewards that we created.
For further questions feel free to contact us. We will answer every question!
Thanks again for all your support!
Risks and challenges
Of course we already do have a main team of programmers, but still there aren’t enough members. So one challenge will be to find additional programmers with the ability to get it all done in the right way.
Our biggest challenge will be to manage everything being ready in time. We scheduled the game to be finished in about six month, but we hope to be ready sooner. Anyway, there are some challenges which can barely be planned at all, those will be the tricky ones. For example testing the game balance can possibly take much longer as predicted. And even with some extra time calculated, it will be a challenge to stick to the schedule. We’ve got a lot of experience – but still you never know what happens. We will hardly be fortunate enough not to meet any obstacles, but we promise to do our best.
After telling you some of the challenges we have to deal with, we want you to know that, even though we are quite experienced, we will also cooperate with different companies to ensure that Dizzlike! will make it! We are confident to manage each challenge by the time we have to face it. We will also stay in contact with you throughout the whole process until the game is fully developed and keep you updated.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
