Loosey Goosey is an art based zine made up of unique works of art and writings from various individuals. The driving force behind Loosey Goosey is to promote underground artists and help get their work seen by a broader audience. We accept artwork and writing submissions (free of charge) and publish them in our quarterly zine, Loosey Goosey.
With the first volume we had a lot of really great stuff coming in and ended up creating this really beautiful zine, but we had no way to show it. We tried printing and binding them ourselves but that was way too expensive. Next we used an online 'print-on-demand' service to sell them. The zine cost just under $20 a piece to print, so those who were contributing, let alone us, could barely afford to buy a copy.
With this issue we want to do it right. We want to go to a local printer and get volume II of Loosey Goosey printed in bulk. This will cut the printing price in half. With this bulk order we'll be able to sell the zine to artists face to face, while also putting copies in local book stores, coffee shops, and art galleries, broadening the audience for the artists included. By donating to this project you are supporting the artists of the future.
Please, help us help artists.
Loosey Goosey accepts free submissions and gives full credit to artists, as well as links and contact info on our website.
We'd also like to give a big thanks to our artist interviewees!
