Interchangeable straps. External buttons. Available in 2 colors. The worlds most beautiful iPod nano watch conversion kit has arrived.
Hey guys! Thanks for checking out my Kickstarter project and don’t forget to check the updates page to get the latest news on The Paradox.
The Paradox allows you to convert your iPod Nano into one of the most powerful watches in our current era of timepieces. The goal of this project was to design a contemporary conversion kit, keeping style and functionally in mind.
I ended up with a stunning case -- engineered from high-grade stainless steel (SUS 316) -- that completely encloses the iPod Nano in industrial-design fashion.
The Paradox, embedded with external buttons that provide great user feedback, features interchangeable straps and comes in either a stainless steel / black stainless steel finish.
What’s more, the Paradox’s patent pending design has a stainless steel flap that allows easy access to the 30-pin dock connector and protects it from dust and debris.
What does The Paradox kit include?
Each kit includes a serialized -- Kickstarter backers exclusive -- Paradox in your choice of brushed stainless steel or brushed black stainless steel and includes high-quality rubber silicone straps, a set of screwdrivers and a spare set of screws.
The limited edition Titanium Paradox -- only 299 ever to be manufactured -- includes everything in the standard kit plus a genuine leather strap. And don’t worry; these will also be serialized, separate from the Steel Paradox.
What are the shipping charges?
- United States- Free Shipping to backers at all levels
- Canada - Add $10 to your pledge at the $20 and above
- Worldwide – Add $10 to your pledge at the $20 pledge Level and $15 for any level above.
What will be engraved on the back?
The text engraved on the back has not been finalized yet but my initial idea has the following engraved on the back:
- “Cupertino Movement”
- “All Geek Everything”
- “Kickstarter Backer”
- “Serial Number”
Cupertino Movement will be engraved on the back because Apple’s headquarters is based in Cupertino, CA. With the Nano being the internals of this watch its movement is not Swiss or Japan, but Cupertino.

Stainless Steel Paradox Conversion Kit
Note: The Paradox will retail for $79. iPod Nano not included. iPod Nano, Apple logo and Apple are registered trademarks of Apple Inc.
Having an iPod Nano watch is more than just having the time on your wrist. It’s having a flash drive, photos, FM radio, timer, stopwatch, Nike +, and pedometer all under a gorgeous 1.5 inch multi touch display that unlocks to reveal an analog clock face that can be set up in either black or white. Once you swipe the time away you reveal a very familiar iOS that can be set up in 29 different languages. Not to mention, it’s pretty awesome telling your friends that your watch is actually an iPod Nano.
Paradox is one of only a few premium iPod Nano watch kits designed. You end up with a watch with a stainless steel body, top down industrial design, and external buttons. I like to think of the paradox having the body of a classical timepiece but the heart of a modern geek.
I have a few products I’ve been designing at A.G.E -- iPad 2 accessory (coming Summer 2011)-- where initial research and development have been self-funded and now I’m reaching into my piggy bank. Being a full-time college student is currently on my plate as well, so getting a product off the ground has been challenging. With your pledge, you’re helping fund the start-up costs that come with the production of the Paradox and helping me continue to design awesome products.
