A team of professional photographers, cinematographers, programmers, and historians documenting the end of the Space Shuttle era.

About this project

If you haven’t heard, the Space Shuttle program will come to an end after 30 years of service when the space shuttle Atlantis returns from the program’s final mission later this year. With over 1 million parts the orbiter is the most complex device built to date and has inspired people all over the world.

Our focus is telling the story of the amazing Space Shuttle program, including behind the scenes activities and the people, from plumbers to astronauts, who were involved in making it happen. We are capturing this story not only with photography and cinematography, but also, infrared, surround sound, 360 VR and 3D motion and stills. We are creating not only a documentary but an immersive experience. You can check out samples of our work at http://thelastshuttle.com/imagery.aspx

Once the project is completed, its content will be used in museums including the San Diego Air and Space Museum (http://www.sandiegoairandspace.org/ ) to educate future generations. Historians, educators, aerospace enthusiasts and people all over the world will be able to experience the excitement and adventure of the Space Shuttle program. You can learn more about our project at www.thelastshuttle.com or join us on FaceBook - http://tinyurl.com/46eqkzx

Your funding and support will go towards production expenses such as transportation, lodging, food, and equipment. With shuttle preparations in several states our expenses add up quickly and ideally extra funding would allow us to have team members onsite full time at various locations to capture history in the making.

Thanks for your support, The Last Shuttle Team
