What is So Pomo? So Pomo is a musical response to homo/transphobia. This song and music video came out of the negativity that so many queer people face on a daily basis. Using camp, surrealism and fantasy, So Pomo celebrates queer desire and subverts the notion of fixed sexual and gender identities. 'Pomo' stands for Post-Modern, and Pomosexual people identify as beyond the labels of gay or straight or LGBT.
What's the Story? A PoMoSexual trans woman is coping with a homophobic college environment and blocks out hearing the phrase "No Homo" by listening to the Metahuman song "So Pomo." While walking through the mundane campus, she's re-imaging her experience, filling her fantasy world with fabulous Post-Modern queers. Queers have taken over the weight room, football field and more to celebrate queer desire and people of all genders.
What Have you Shot? We have shot part the fantasy weight room and track scenes. Check out some production stills:

Who is Involved? An amazing lineup of queer filmmakers are participating in this project including a director, cinematographer, producer and executive producer whose films have screened at more than 50 film festivals around the world, aired on Logo's 'Click List' and more.
How does Kickstarter work? Kickstarter is a platform for funding creative projects. In exchange for your support, we offer a variety of rewards and our incredible gratitude. Funding is all-or-nothing, so we must raise our full goal, or nobody will be charged for their donation. We think this is an exciting way to create independent media, and we hope you do too.
What are the rewards? Take a look to the right and check out the rewards for contributions of all levels. Our final shoot is in early August and we will have the video finished by the fall, at which point we'll mail out DVDs.
Where will the funds go? Funds will go to complete this project - production expenses like transportation and food for the crew, and equipment expenses include renting some camera and lighting equipment. Making a film is expensive work, even if it's a project with tons of volunteer effort. We really do need your help to make this project happen!
