You can take one of the sides, join a guild, family or order and in their name retake sacred grounds that other families are trying to claim. You can join with your friends and follow the trail of missing artifacts surrounded by legends. You can delve into the mysteries of unnerving events, learn the history and take possession of the wisdom and glory it holds.
Beware though, for your every step will be watched by enemies who will lie in wait for a your moment of weakness. When the time is right for them, they shall take away what is dearest to you.
We are an independent team and our goal is creating a computer game that will be a mix of MMO and a classic RPG. Our product, called "Gloria Victis", is set in a grim world that is strongly inspired by medieval reality.
The gameplay will allow multiple players to interact at the same time, in the same world. It focuses on a non-linear, multi-plot story with an extensive dialogue system that has plenty of options to choose from, as defined by character's reputation. We will feature a system of clothing and equipment which is designed after authentic medieval replicas; which is a novelty in MMORPG's today. We will not only introduce a huge selection of items, but also the possibility of merging them together.

Crafting in Gloria Victis is divided into 10 crafts and player will be
able to use only two of them simultaneously. This limit is introduced to

What benefits you will gain after joining craftsmanship guild ?
First, you will establish and maintain relations with people, whose craft items of the same category. Together, they can perform “crafting” tasks and gain achievements that will influence on crafting skills of craftsmanship guild's members as well as enable them to build instantiated abodes, where highest quality items can be manufactured.
Our game strongly involves the aspect of equipment manufacturing, thus we have decided to incorporate innovative solutions that are less popular in other MMO games, however in this way we came across players' demands.
Second, all items that players are able to acquire during playing Gloria Victis will be dependent on enemy, which you will be fighting against. For example, if you will kill boar, don't expect to find armor that he could swallow before, rather expect of learning the skill how to skin boar and craft the armor yourself.

Black Eye Games is an Indie studio that unites over 30 experienced developers. Some of us were a part of the teams that brought you 'The Witcher' or 'Neverwinter Nights'. Among us there are also team members who are working as Software Engineers in huge corporations such as Motorola Solutions Poland.
Our team has been working together for over half of a year and the years-long experience we've gathered allows us to persistently move towards our goal, a completed Gloria Victis.
Black Eye Games is an innovative team of developers skilled in the many areas of computer game development. Our team is completely filled out with 3D artists, animators, 2D concept artists, level designers, programmers, scripters, sound engineers and security specialists, amongst many others.
We work closely with medieval enthusiasts and knight brotherhoods to offer you the souvenirs on this page; which are crafted in a medieval smithy using the same techniques that were used in ages past.
Up until now, Gloria Victis was a game was being developed by a team on their own free time and without any budget whatsoever. However, it is our hope to speed up the process so that the game is released in the upcoming months. That's why we decided to offer you a possibility to co-operate with
us and help in the game's creation and development.

Prealpha version - this is where we stand now. We have basic game elements, the world is explorable online and the most basic combat is functional. You can already murder hordes of enemies! Still, there is a lot to do before this version will become a fully playable alpha version. We want to bring you the best entertainment, and so we'd like to introduce you to our plans.
We'll prepare an alpha version of the game that will be ready for play (or testing). There will be a crafting system, character skills, and two of the four races which will take part in the conflict. Plot-wise there will obviously be many quests and interesting riddles. The world will operate in a day and night cycle, influencing living NPCs and creatures. The game's world will be big enough that it will allow players to enjoy long gameplay including PvP combat.
We estimate this to take 7 months.
This stage of the game will include guilds, their wars and first objectives. A system for mounted tournaments which the players will conduct in tournament arenas will be included. There will be a complex trade and crafting systems, as well as a much larger world to explore. We will add multiple epic instances and dungeons. Magic will start to appear and we'll add dynamic weather! The game will be available for Mac users and we'll try to make it work on Linux as well.
We estimate this to take 10 months.
This amount will allow us to introduce all of the races in an intermediate stage of development, there will be castles and areas to conquer and guilds will influence the world's economy. PvP battles on large scale will become reality. Virtually all models and animations will be finished, and we will be able to hire additional specialists who will help us develop the most advanced of systems.
We estimate this to take a year. By now, we'll be long fired from our day jobs and Gloria Victis will be our new home.
This amount will allow us to deliver a nearly complete game. A truly massive world will be created, guilds will have their own crests, as well as be able to hire AI castle guards to defend their conquered lands. Organizations will oversee trade in the towns conquered with steel and siege machines duringorganized conquests. We will also be able to finish hiring more people, allowing us to greatly decrease development time and produce an even higher quality game.
We estimate this to take 15 months.
Well, this sum is magical and the game we would deliver would be just as amazing! We're not afraid of the challenges and we will prepare a world-class game. We will strongly improve the visuals and provide bigger server systems and stronger security. There will be a massive and immersive world to explore! We will hire even more skilled team members who will quickly create a beautiful and dynamic game. All without wasting money for bureaucracy. What matters is the game that you support! Risks and challenges
Pledged amount is necessary for creating of playable alpha version of the game. It doesn't mean that if we won't be able to gather larger amount of money, game development would stop.
In such case we'll be looking for additional forms of financing as well as external investor will be welcome.
From project point of view what could happen is duration of project to extend up to 20 months. While we're developing the game, some new ideas could get across our minds and we will add or change initial scope of the project. Main of time we spend on Windows and Mac platforming therefore it might happen, that Linux platform could be struck by greater amount of initial game-stage bugs.
