The Warriors meets a gay Romeo & Juliet during a break-up packaged in the form of a 90-page black & white graphic novel.
Hey, everyone! We are so excited to share with you our original black & white graphic novel! 20 Fists is a mix of action/romance with western and battle manga vibes added for spice. Written by Frankee White, art by Kat Baumann, and letters by DC Hopkins, the story follows two opposing crews tethered together by a precarious romance that has fallen apart.
What’s 20 Fists About?
Chel has it easy, or at least she thinks. She wakes up, stumbles out of bed, and busts heads with her friends, The No Names, in the 20 Fists Fight League. This underground league is a loose association of like-minded people: they just want to fight. These battles can take place whenever and wherever. You name it: a movie theater, a park, your living room. It doesn’t matter as long as the two teams are ready to go.
Enter The Big Jackets, a rival crew that has consistently been butting heads with The No Names for the past few months. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone though because we all know that The Big Jackets leader, Billie, has the hots for Chel, but being lovers in rival crews means friction on and off the battleground. It’s hard to keep a relationship together when you’re surrounded by people who just want to fight each other.
The whole situation comes crashing down when Chel unexpectedly breaks things off with Billie leading both crews to their hottest and most dangerous match-up yet...

Where’s Your Money Going?
All of the funds we receive will go directly towards paying the creative team and helping to bring this story to life. The first 35 pages have been entirely self-funded by the writer, Frankee White, and while self-funding the rest of the book is a realistic option it significantly delays our production time and creates more risk for everyone involved. With help from crowdfunding we'll be able to get this great story out into people's hands faster.
We're already well under way in the process of creating 20 Fists for you to read. With 35 pages of art already completed, we're expecting to have a reasonable turnaround time at about a year. This will give us plenty of time to make sure we're giving you the best story possible.
Risks and challenges
Life can get in the way and sometimes that means comics (which are not our first jobs) have to go to the wayside. Realistically, though, we don't expect that to be an issue since we've maintained a steady and similar work pace for the first 30 pages.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
