@Post, no we didn't do that. If we choose the shipping cost to be bear by the customers, we need to provide the customer's Fedex account number. The individual needs to have a Fedex account which most of the backers don't have.
I think this is about the import duty policy of a country. Some countries like US and Australia do not need to pay any import duty for import goods less than $800 if I'm not mistaken.
@Cytron, did you guys specify the shippingcost paid by the consumer? I've seen it many times, if shipping is "free" or declared as 0, the shipping company (Fedex and DHL mostly) will use their own minimal shipping fee to calculate the duties. Because duties are paid over the value of the package AND the shipping AND both are mandatory. So if the sender declares either no or 0 shipping cost they will most likely use their "budget" consumer rate which is often > $150 for the smallest package out of Asia.
I guess I was lucky this time in The Netherlands, no fees.
@Letitcia, that was kickstarter's deal.
Never mind, just read it
Why are they so expensive in the netherlands all of the sudden? A board was $3... now it’s €11

Fantastic! On another note, last I checked the Mac OS driver link was still broken. Is there somewhere else I can find the Mac driver?
