VII photographer Ed Kashi backs DELTA BOYS

http://edkashi.com/blog/

Ed Kashi is a phenomenal photojournalist and documentary photographer. He is a member of the premiere photo agency VII.

I am really honored that Ed is backing the DELTA BOYS Kickstarter campaign. Check out the post on his blog about DELTA BOYS: http://edkashi.com/blog/

Ed has done very powerful work in the same oil-rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria where I filmed DELTA BOYS. He published a beautiful photobook on the subject titled: CURSE OF THE BLACK GOLD: 50 Years of Oil in the Niger Delta

Like me, Ed was even detained in the Niger Delta by government forces, and prevented from working freely. Indeed, the Nigerian government tends to want to suppress coverage of the conflict and environmental destruction that has resulted from the exploitation of oil in the Niger Delta.

We're off to a good start, but there's still a ways to go. If we don't reach our minimum goal of $15,000, no money changes hands! So, please continue to share this link to the campaign with your own networks: http://kck.st/uKUlyc

Thank you!
Andrew
