Risks and challenges
When I tackle a project I put my everything into it. I strive for the best possible product in every endeavor. I will take any setback in stride working with my production team to overcome it. I know with the crew I have we can overcome any obstacle!
That being said, we know that we have a lot of work to do once we are funded! One of the biggest challenges we face is creating a realistic set using practical set pieces. With our plan to use low CGI will require a lot of careful building. And as any filmmaker knows, collaboration can be difficult. We are preparing the best we can now to tackle these possible scenarios before they occur.
One other area of concern is that we still tracking down the perfect cabin location. Much of the final look of the production depends on the location we secure. Currently we are pursuing several options, and have a studio-based contingency plan in place, should the perfect cabin fail to present itself to us.
Also, we are shooting in Minnesota and if you have never been here, the weather can be a bit chaotic. We have selected June to do our filming hoping for cooperative weather. With a crew of fifteen to twenty it can be difficult to reschedule any weather days.If there are delays we will keep our Kickstarter supporters up to date of the changes.
This is our first Kickstarter project but we feel confident that as a team we will handle them. The key to any creative project is a strong collaborative mindset, we feel we have brought together the right cast and crew to do this.
A saying within the film industry is hurry up and wait, we will be working diligently to make sure we do not keep you as our supporters waiting for your product! We thank you for your support and take comfort in the knowledge that you have demonstrated your faith and support of the Princess short film project.
