RoBo 3D Printers update!
**For those backers in Australia, we are doing a bulk shipment of units to you via our shipping carrier and distributing locally within the next 10 days. Reason being is that shipping is extremely expensive there and Kickstarter only allowed us to charge one amount international. Therefore we have teamed up with an Australian fulfillment center to distribute them locally.
**Just as well, Japanese orders will be sent from our manufacturer overseas in bulk shipments and they are being boxed up currently so stay tuned for your tracking numbers as well. Orders are going out every day. Check your inboxes and stay tuned. We cannot tell you exactly when your order will go out so please refrain from asking us. We are moving down the list and shipping orders according to estimated deliveries and order numbers. More are going out every day than ever before and the pace is constant.
On another note, We appreciate all who have been active on the forums and helping answer questions in regards to technical issues. You have all been extremely helpful and we thank you! Our team is going to be taking active approaches to helping anyone out with any printer issues on the forums as well.
2 quick notes:
1) We just partnered with Repetier Host and will upload a version of Repetier with our ideal settings preloaded for all Window Users. Mac users, unfortunately Repetier said we cannot upload the version on the ios, so we will release all of the latest settings updates for you to implement.
2) We found an easy solution for calibrating the Z. If you are using painters tape, when pressing z home, the tip of your extruder should touch the bed on both the left and right side of the platform(not press inwards on the bed, just sit right on it-adjust the screw that hits the endstop if needed). Then go into your slic3r settings, in infills and perimeters, change your first layer height to 0.3. This should get you at the right z height every time you print.
