Shipment has arrived!

Hello all you awesome people,

Letting you know we just received a shipment of 500 assembled printers! This morning was spent organizing and getting ready for QC testing. At our estimated rate, we are thinking around 30 printers a day will ship from our workshop and out to the hands of all you backers.

We undoubtedly have some long days and nights ahead of us, but we know it will be worth it when we can see and hear of all of the amazing things you print and show off!

Within the next couple of weeks, check your inboxes for shipping tracking numbers.

@David, he said MONTH singular. And honestly, if you are international, it can take 2-3 weeks before a package even leaves the states - even with many couriers using non air over night service. It is faster for me to order something from the UK into Canada than from the States.

And still, there are plenty of people not covered in this batch of 500 (which HOPEFULLY all pass QC, but let's be honest we have no idea what the rate will be, or QC wouldn't be needed) - and that still leaves a LOT of people who still need their packages shipped after that.

Some people will definitely not be getting theirs until after the new year. I only hope that doesn't include me since I SHOULD be getting mine out of this batch (fingers crossed) and shipped in time to avoid the xmas package rush that messes everything up.

Great news! Can't wait... Looking at the photos, you might want to think about pallets and pallet stretch wrap! That's an awful lot of expensive product stacked in a relatively unsafe manner. It could hurt somebody if it falls, not to mention the financial loss and delay to your backers. :P

500 total divided by 30 per day equals about 17 days. If they take weekends off, that's still only 3.5 weeks to ship them all. Where did this "months plus" come from?
Let's take "months" at the minimum. Excluding weekends and holidays, there are 45 days in the next two months. They would need to ship fewer than 11 per day to make it take that long. "Months" isn't mathematically reasonable, even if they don't work weekends, with the last one being shipped December 13th. That gives 2 and a half weeks for it to arrive before the end of the year. Given how slow this would require they actually go, I'd be shocked if you didn't get your printer before the end of the year.

Are you people going to be working weekends? If not that's going to take month plus shipping and that is not cool. Are you going to send out confirmation emails when shipped? I am going to be shocked if I get my printer before the end of the year.

Excellent news, good for you guys and the success you are having. For me that is the reason I back Kickstarter projects, to help others achieve goals and dreams is reward enough some days.

WOW! That's a lot of printers!!
Nice work guys! This update is going to make 500 people VERY happy!
I know this project is late but you are doing a great job!
Time to crack open the giant cans of Red Bull, invest in an espresso machine, a few dozen boxes full of breakfast and energy bars and dig in at RoBo HQ for about a month or so... :D

Cool, eventually you can start getting to new orders and creating profit instead of burning through loss.
