Risks and challenges
We have done everything we can to mitigate any risks and challenges for this project. That being said, problems can still arise. Let's start with ways that we've tried to resolve problems before they happened.
We iterated on our initial design (9) nine times to make sure that we got the unique design just right. We worked with several patternmakers, professional fashion designers, and experienced artists to ensure that the fit and construction of the shorts exceeds standards. We developed a full set of working prototypes across male and female sizes, and in every one of our designs. Over our six month development process, we contacted more than 25 fabric mills and more than 15 cut-and-sew facilities to find the best and most reliable factories. Then, with the help of an experienced QA associate, we visited our final choice of factories to make sure that they complied with local, national, and international laws and standards for textile manufacturing. We also placed and received a small lot order ahead of the Kickstarter launch to further ensure quality and responsiveness.
The biggest risks we foresee in delaying the production of the shorts are natural disasters, broken machines, or a significant error in the manufacturing process. To prevent those risks from derailing the production and shipment of the Kickstarter, we have also made sure to make contact and establish a line of communication with several backup facilities. This will also ensure a timely turnaround even if the total funding greatly exceeds our goal amount.
But there are also challenges that we cannot foresee. We will be forthright, transparent, and timely with our updates if any adverse event occurs that will delay your shipment.
Luckily for us, we also have a community of 35 Influencers who will do everything in their power to make sure that you get your shorts.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
