Hi DoxOut, thanks for your comment. The idea of turning a cable into a dock is not a new idea, you're right, people have been posting images of this concept on the internet for many years now, sometimes using a carboard box or even Lego, so I think it's fair to say that the concept pre-dates any Kickstarter project. I designed the connectors myself (hand on heart I have never seen the CompleteDock, but I will have a look at it now), they are designed to securely hold the connector by tightening a screw which acts against a flexible section of the plastic insert (I have not seen this implementation on any other product and the concept is borrowed from the Z{DOCK} BASE{DOCK} which I designed many years ago).

The form is my design, quite different to the Elevation dock in my opinion, and much more aligned with the Z{DOCK} BASE{DOCK} - images of that product should still be available via Google. The aim of the ONE{DOCK} was to take the concept of the Z{DOCK} (my design) and improve every aspect of it, and that's what I have done, I've learned from my mistakes and created a truely great docking station.

There will always be some similarities with this type of product and I'm sure others will get ideas from what I have done, and I welcome that.

      Thanks,

      Jamie

Hi, idea is good but it is not yours. The form is little changed Elevation Dock and as I can see from pictures you copy connector holders from Complete Dock.

Thanks for your message and for contacting me on FaceBook, but I'm afraid to say I'm not interested in paying you $9,999 to 'make my product better' with your 'secret idea'! The ONE{DOCK} is fine just the way it is.

the idea of an "one dock" is good but the product should be better designed to succeed
