Helionox -- The Last Sunset is a movement based sci-fi strategy deckbuilding game. It combines deckbuilding and board game elements to create a robust gaming system that provides maximum replay value, a minimal learning curve, and a short setup time.

Core Set Information
- 2-4 players (1 core set - 2 players, 2 core sets - up to 4 players)

The core set of this game is complete and ready for production. All art is finalized (with a few tweaks here and there of course).
The game design has been thoroughly tested by the Zeroic team and multiple play test groups.
We have also received tons of great feedback from people just like you at the game conventions we have attended and game demos we have hosted. Many thanks to all of the testers and players who have helped us get this far!
On their turn, players purchase cards from the market with “Credits” and integrate these cards into their deck for use later in the game. Players can also choose to overcome one or more of the disastrous events spreading across the colonies by using “Defense”. Both Defense and Credits are gained by playing cards or using Location and Architect abilities. Players continue building increasingly powerful combinations to acquire Influence points on subsequent turns. But time is limited!
Once the last card of the “event deck” is played, the game is over. The player with the most influence at the end wins.

The great leaders of HELIONOX are called “Architects.” At the beginning of the game, players choose an Architect to represent them. These characters each possess unique and powerful abilities that can be used throughout the game. However, using an Architect ability will cause your Architect to enter Cryo Sleep for a certain number of turns so choose your timing wisely!
One of the most unique aspects of HELIONOX is its use of locations. In the core set, there are five locations: Old World Capital (Earth), Lunar Base, Martian Biosphere, Ceres Mining Colony, and the Europan Warp Installation. Locations are available throughout the game and each grants players special bonus abilities that they can use on their turn.
As civilization descends into turmoil, social, environmental, and even catastrophic “events” begin to plague the Old World and its colonies throughout the solar system. One way players can gain influence is by overcoming events. Players may choose to collaborate in order to overcome events as well, dividing the influence but gaining and extra card bonus for working together.
Players can pursue multiple strategies for gaining influence in HELIONOX. The "Transport” faction enhances a players ability to travel the solar system without penalties while the “Defense” faction offers the ability to directly overcome events. The “Cybernetic” faction gains both economic support and garners direct Influence through diplomacy and politics. Finally, the “Bio” faction focuses on the science of turning excess materials into useful technologies.
Players can choose one strategy or mix and match. Certain Architects may work better with certain factions or combinations of factions and already planned expansions will focus heavily on faction based bonuses.
The Story Behind The Game
In the distant future, our civilization, spread throughout the solar system, relies on a Solar Lift for power. Through neglect or sabotage, the Lift is now failing. Survival is in question.
Some say the AI's are searching for answers. Others are joining the Cybernetics and converting their bodies into machines that can withstand the catastrophes ahead. Some people are preparing to leave - maybe heading to Alpha Centauri. With cryo-sleep capabilities, it's possible. What will you do to survive?
