We worked so hard for the last year-and-a-half to turn our concept into an actual product. In the midst of our efforts, our resources have been exhausted creating a game changing product! More excited than ever, we have created a comprehensive business plan to successfully launch Journey Pillow. However, the plan includes the successful funding of this project. With that accomplished, we will be able to complete our first major production order and implement our marketing strategy, because no matter how amazing Journey Pillow is, a product is only as good as its marketing. This is important because our primary focus is to get Journey Pillow into retail stores, and leverage our e-commerce presence.
To merge our way in the retail community, we will be taking a "boots on the ground" approach. This includes expanding our network by participating in trade shows/fairs in our communities and around the US. If our efforts are successful, we hope to be in a community near you!
I could go on and on about our strategy to make this product successful, but I want to stay focused on step 1... Getting funded! Rest assured that we are prepared to make this journey a long one. Risks and challenges
The challenge we face after successful funding is at the end of 2016 our patent pending status will expire. Prior to making the investment to purchase a full patent, we want to be sure that our business will be lucrative. Which means that we only have a few months worth of past data to use in order to project future sales and quantify our risk.
The upside is that we have identified this challenge well in advance. Which allowed us to put together an aggressive sales strategy in efforts to maximize time, data, and sales prior to the deadline.
