A super simple & effective gaming aid.
Track scores, wounds or damage on your character/models/units for all kinds tabletop and role play games.

The O' ring clearly indicates your model's current state, be it wounds, spell points or whatever you need to measure. They fit snugly on the plastic arrow and rolls with minimal pressure into the next groove but fit tightly enough that it can't accidentally be nudged and your score lost.

Simply place the arrow head pointing at the model, and can sit on top of the models base if it is large enough even. The WoundWang can follow your hero and point at her/him as they travel across your tabletop warzone. Conversely you could of course count up instead of down.

WoundWangs are initially available in two colours:
Vibrant ORANGE COLOUR ABOVE to be easily found on your playing surface, or SUBTLE COLOUR BELOW so as not to distract from your beautifully painted models. Stretch goals will make more colours available.

See examples of them in use.
Playtesting at HATE Club and their first outing at Warhammer Fest HERE

Naturally you will want different sizes for different games/units/vehicles etc
Some have tens and units to account those really big hitters:

You can buy your wangs in the following sets:

O' rings included.

I'm happy to say the well established Anvil Industry, that successfully Kickstarted their 'Afterlife' game , are helping me as my logistics partner
to aid me getting these out to you.

Risks and challenges

Time has been the biggest challenge for me.
I am really excited about this project however so I have substituted playing and hobby time to design the sets and, with my great friends Sasha and Dan who are far more capable than I with spreadsheets, cost it and get this to market before an established company does.

This project came about through conversations with my mate Dan, about the imminent release of new 8th edition of Games Workshops (GW) 40K game.
This game, like many, requires the accounting of wounds but it seemed like there was a great number of people that would need a way to deal with this new issue.

Conventionally we would put dice on the base of our model or next to the tank or monster as they become damaged or wounded.
This was always awkward as in the constantly moving of models and the rolling of dice it was very easy to lose track or accidentally scoop up these dice with the ones you were rolling.

This neat little O' ring and notch idea came to me. I modeled it in plasticard and an O'ring pulled from my old paintball gun as proof of concept.
I have been working on prototypes ever since.

My friend Martin from my Hackney Area Tabletop Enthusiast (HATE) club was able and kind enough, at the bargain cost of a couple of beers, to cut the Mark 1 (the classic arrow head design with the HATE dice logo on it you may see in the video on my site). These were well received by gaming friends.

Energised by good feedback and as GW released more information about the format of their new edition I was able to get an idea of what form a set of counters would need to contain.
A couple more beers, to cut the Mark 2s (the flatter simpler design you may see in the majority of photos).

These were extensively tested and the sets refined with the 890+ members of the HATE clubs facebook community.
In this period a HATErs have tested the wound wang and found it was useful in great many other games.

Should this Kickstarter be as successful as I hope, I would like to offer then
more colour options, designs sets and specific mode/status markers for more games utilising the O' ring system I have developed.

Dan is a life long tabletop enthusiast. His experience in hobby gaming in combination with a great deal of problem solving and admin has made him a great sounding board when planning the project.

Sasha has run successful kickstarters and is as experienced as his great big wizardly beard and extensive bookshelf might suggest!

Also in London. Anvil Industry, creators of the successful Kickstarter; AFTERLIFE - Narrative Wargame Project, with connections in the heart of the HATE club, have offered their invaluable support and advice.

With these fine fellows at my side I feel I have diminished the risks & challenges I'll face.

• I have a great team guiding me
• The Wang Works.
• & They look great (the team too).

If a sufficient number of people agree
we can all have a few sets at a great price!

If those people talk about it enough we can have them in loads of colours (to match our lovingly painted toys) too!
