Collision is a fantasy skirmish game that allows players to design their own characters and armies based off of miniatures from either their own collection, or from any range on the market. The game is free for anyone to download and play, so people in the fantasy war gaming or role-playing hobby can start playing Collision without spending anything at all. Additionally, the game remains affordable for those who doesn't already own miniatures; because the game can use as few as 3-6 miniatures per player, Collision is a great game for people new to the miniature hobby.
Why Support Collision?
The basic game is near completion, but I can't afford to continue giving the game the time it needs in order for it to be as great as I know it can. The game still needs an online community where people can talk about their experiences, and the character creation and campaign rules still need countless hours of testing, revision, and art assets. I can't do it alone, and with your help I can get the resources I need to get the job done. I also want to make products such as print version of the rule books, terrain, or other gaming accessories available on my site for purchase for interested players. With the proper funds I can set up a forum, online shop, and develop a line of products to further enhance the game. I can also widen its scope with a series of rules expansions that I can't wait to get started on. I later hope to cast a line of resin terrain that, while designed specifically for Collision, could also be used in other table-top role playing and war games as well. If you pledge your support, we can help improve this hobby together!
If I reach my base funding goal, I will be able to accomplish the following:
- Establish an online shop for New World Gaming Company
- Complete and publish the Collision Core Rule Book
- Complete and publish the Collision Character Creation System
- Complete and publish the Collision Campaign Guide
- Design first campaign suppliment
- Launch New World Gaming Company Forum
- Release the first wave of Major Arcana Characters (the Tower, Strength, the Magician, the Devil)
- Start developing prototype Ruins terrain set
What Will Supporters Get?
First of all, if the project is fully funded, everyone will get access to new rules supplements to download and use for free.
Beyond that, supporters will receive special forum titles when the forum goes live. Supporters can also receive exclusive campaign supplements, a digital album composed by James Roach, branded 10-sided dice in Bright Green just for this Kickstarter, art prints, and print versions of the rule books. Generous supporters can receive premium hand-bound versions of the rule books, major characters created in their likeness and written into Collision canon, or even a set of terrain hand made and painted by the game's creator Ian Douglass. As stretch goals are met, new reward levels will be unlocked, and I'll have the opportunity to make Collision even better!
Also, there will be a thank you page on the website and in the Kickstarter edition rule books with the backers listed by pledge level!

Risks and challenges
The rules expansions I have planned for future goals are still in the early concept stages. Extensive testing, development, and revision is necessary to ensure that the rules are easy to use, fair, and fun. The amount of time the process takes depends on the complexity of the mechanics that are introduced, and it can be a very unpredictable process. This could lead to delays in the release of expansions and consequently delays in other projects down the line. To avoid these delays, I intend to set a schedule where the expansions will be complete well before when they are set to release to allow room for error.
Secondly, the casting method I intend to use for the terrain sets is not one I have extensively tested, and it may not provide the level of detail needed to make visually appealing terrain. Since the process is unpredictable, I will not be offering terrain pieces as rewards if at all unless I know for certain the process will work. If the casting method fails, no one will be missing out on rewards.
Beyond that, it is up to the backers to determine how much I can achieve! Thanks for your attention and your assistance!
